Nestlé Says It Will Remove Artificial Flavors & Colors From Chocolate Products!!!

Hot fuckin damn....

Snip.....

.In a statement, the company gives two examples of ingredient changes. The aforementioned color of the Butterfinger core will no longer come from Red 40 and Yellow 5, but from annatto seeds, which has long been used as a natural food colorant. And Nestlé Crunch products will no longer use artificial vanillin but natural vanilla flavor.

Nestlé claims that the revamped products will begin hitting retail shelves by the middle of the year. They will be distinguished from existing items by a “No Artificial Flavors of Colors” notation on the packaging.

In addition to the removal of the artificial ingredients, Nestlé says it is investigating the possibility of replacing the caramel coloring that it uses in a handful of these products. While caramel coloring is exempt from FDA certification and would thus not fall under the umbrella of “artificial,” some types of caramel coloring include high levels of 4-Methylimidazole (4-MEI), a possible carcinogen. Recent studies have found that some colas may contain high levels of 4-MEI.

Anyone else have a blind dog?

Our beloved Golden has cataracts, they came on pretty quickly. Distance seems blurry, close up is ok, night vision seems gone, he gets upset when the lights are all off, so we leave a night light on.
He has been hesitant to run around, ( he is always on the long leash outdoors) and seems to prefer the same spot in the yard for his outdoor business.

Poor baby is 10...an old man.
What an irony he needs a seeing eye dog.

Any tips?

Go to Prison for Sharing Files? That's What Hollywood Wants in the Secret TPP Deal

The US is pushing for a dangerously broad definition of a criminal violation of copyright, where even noncommercial activities could get people convicted of a crime. The leak also shows that Canada has opposed this definition. Canada supports language in which criminal remedies would only apply to cases where someone infringed explicitly for commercial purposes.

This distinction is crucial. Commercial infringement, where an infringer sells unauthorized copies of content for financial gain, is and should be a crime. But that's not what the US is pushing for—it's trying to get language passed in TPP that would make a criminal out of anyone who simply shares or otherwise makes available copyrighted works on a “commercial scale.”

Baptist minister explains why she will be performing the first same-sex marriage ceremony in Ala.

Actually, in Huntsville, but no doubt the first in the state.
Check out the link, there is a pic of her...

Ellin Jimmerson is the Minister to the Community at Huntsville's Weatherly Heights Baptist Church. On Monday, however, she will take on a historic role as the officiant of the first same-sex marriage ceremony in Huntsville.

Rev. Jimmerson will be speaking and officiating at Huntsville's Wedding Week on Monday, the first day same-sex couples around the state will be allowed to obtain marriage licenses. She's excited about the opportunity and chance to spread her message of love.

So while the Probate Judges down here are refusing to perform ANY marriages under the new law,
a female Baptist preacher will.

Man arrested on suspicion of murder in San Francisco body parts case dies in hospital,

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) — A man was found dead just days after being released from police custody after being suspected in the death of a man whose body was found dismembered inside a suitcase in San Francisco.

Mark Jeffrey Andrus went into septic shock and died after being rushed to the hospital Saturday for drug-related reasons, the Chronicle reported Sunday.
Andrus, 59, was released from jail Tuesday night. Andrus had been arrested Saturday in connection with the grisly discovery last Wednesday afternoon of body parts in a suitcase near the intersection of 11th and Mission streets, police said.

Public Defender Jeff Adachi told reporters after his release, “Mr. Andrus was extremely relieved when I told him earlier today that no charges were going to be brought. So obviously he wants to get home.”

District attorney’s office spokesman Alex Bastian said Tuesday afternoon that prosecutors were “very disturbed” by the facts of the case, but “given the current state of the evidence, there is insufficient evidence to charge this suspect with murder.”

NBC’s Brian Williams recants Iraq story after soldiers protest

(He lied, for 10 years, until confronted by a soldier who was at the scene he lied about.)

WASHINGTON — NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams admitted Wednesday he was not aboard a helicopter hit and forced down by RPG fire during the invasion of Iraq in 2003, a false claim that has been repeated by the network for years.

Williams repeated the claim Friday during NBC’s coverage of a public tribute at a New York Rangers hockey game for a retired soldier that had provided ground security for the grounded helicopters, a game to which Williams accompanied him. In an interview with Stars and Stripes, he said he had misremembered the events and was sorry.

The admission came after crew members on the 159th Aviation Regiment’s Chinook that was hit by two rockets and small arms fire told Stars and Stripes that the NBC anchor was nowhere near that aircraft or two other Chinooks flying in the formation that took fire. Williams arrived in the area about an hour later on another helicopter after the other three had made an emergency landing, the crew members said.

"........I can’t believe he is still telling this false narrative.”

US Special Ops Missions Already in 105 Countries in 2015

Your tax dollars at work...

During the fiscal year that ended on September 30, 2014, U.S. Special Operations forces (SOF) deployed to 133 countries -- roughly 70% of the nations on the planet -- according to Lieutenant Colonel Robert Bockholt, a public affairs officer with U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM).

This capped a three-year span in which the country’s most elite forces were active in more than 150 different countries around the world, conducting missions ranging from kill/capture night raids to training exercises.
And this year could be a record-breaker. Only a day before the failed raid that ended Luke Somers life -- just 66 days into fiscal 2015 -- America’s most elite troops had already set foot in 105 nations, approximately 80% of 2014’s total.
