About Nancy Pelosi using the term "Cover Up"

...Here is why that is important. I was 26 when Watergate started (1972) and Nancy was 32. She was an involved adult carefully watching the Watergate show. (as was I) She had to know the significance of timing and careful movement along the road to impeachment. It is very clear, that to get this far, Nancy Pelosi is very intelligent and experienced. Timing is everything. She is moving along at a pace that will be winning and successful for the entire country. After the report is out, and many have read what is in it, it is time to move on to what needs to be done. At the correct speed for all to see the specifics of the show, the truth of the show, and the meaning of what needs to be done. The term "Cover Up" is indicative of the crime, the extent of the crime, and the view of what the solution to this crime is. It is a brilliant use of a familiar term in history.

Most of us wouldn't even know how to pronounce those words, let alone spell them.

The Scripps National Spelling Bee is a week away and it is sure to be filled with a plethora of problematic words.

An international team of linguists from the language-learning app Babbel partnered with Merriam-Webster to analyze a decade's worth of words and find out what knocked out Bee contestants in the final round.

The analysis of nearly 400 words found that classical languages were the basis of most of the misspelled words. Study up on scientific, medical, and legal terms, which trace their origins back to Greek and Latin roots.

"English has always borrowed words from other languages, and once they are found in our dictionaries they are considered to be English words," said the editor at large of Merriam-Webster, Peter Sokolowski, in a news release.

According to the linguists, nature and natural science accounted for 38% of misspelled words, followed by words related to medicine, arts, politics, and law.

From modern languages, words derived from French knocked out the most final-rounders. From living languages, it was German and Italian that lead to the loss.

"Every year we are inspired by watching these kids grapple with the toughest words in the Bee and we hope this list gives them an extra boost of confidence," said Babbel CEO Julie Hansen in a statement.

Willing to share your oldest memory of the "internet"?

Yes, I was visiting a friend in 98 or 99. He was deep into computers and had been for years. He took out this laptop, (cost $3000 in 1998) hooked it up to the net, and he showed me White House dot gov. Clinton's site at the time. Also, we looked up Al Gore and his info.
..The library where I lived installed 4 computers for public use in 2000. I was actually on the internet looking around,(as we do) when 9/11 attack hit. People yelled out, switch to this site and watch this. After a while they turned on the main TV at the library and everyone was able to watch.
..Long before any of this, I took a course in the early 80s, or late 70s, where the professor said, one day everyone would be carrying around a hand held computer like we saw in "Star Trek" (original series)...First time I ever saw a hand held computer was 2006. Someone was carrying around one, while I walked around the indoor track that I still go to from time to time. I said to myself..Why does that guy have to have one of those while he walks around the track?.(now lots of people have them while they walk around the track, which I still go to.....

Fraud Advisory: Inspector General Warns Public About Social Security Advisory Board-Related Scam

The Inspector General of Social Security, Gail S. Ennis, is warning the public about a new variation of increasingly common government employee impersonation scams, this time involving the Social Security Advisory Board. The Advisory Board has reported that individuals are receiving scam phone calls displaying the board’s phone number on caller ID. The callers are reportedly attempting to obtain personal information, including Social Security numbers. If you receive this type of call, you should not engage with the caller or provide personal information or money in response to requests or threats.

These callers are employing tactics similar to impersonation schemes involving the IRS, SSA, and the SSA OIG. Inspector General Ennis advises that callers may use a variety of false scenarios or threats to obtain personal information or payments, often requested through gift cards or prepaid debit cards.

However, the Social Security Advisory Board typically does not contact the general public to request personal information over the phone. Moreover, government employees will never threaten you to obtain personal information or payments. In those cases, the call is fraudulent, and you should just hang up.

“This caller-ID spoofing scheme has unfortunately evolved to include the Social Security Advisory Board, but it is the same type of scam, attempting to mislead people by using the trusted name of Social Security,” Inspector General Ennis said. “I encourage everyone to alert your family and friends about how common these scams are, and to be very cautious when speaking with unknown callers, even if you recognize the caller ID.”

Inspector General Ennis urges the public not to provide sensitive information over the phone or internet unless you are certain of who is receiving it. You should also never wire money or add money to a prepaid debit card to pay for any official government service.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee death row inmate Donnie Edward Johnson did not want a special last meal before his execution Thursday. Instead, he wanted his supporters to donate meals to the homeless.

Condemned inmates in Tennessee can spend up to $20 on a last meal before they are executed. Johnson, who was executed by lethal injection Thursday night at Riverbend Maximum Security Institution in Nashville, declined to pick one.

Johnson's attorney, federal public defender Kelley Henry, said the decision was a tribute to executed Tennessee inmate Philip Workman, who had requested that the $20 for his last meal in 2007 go toward vegetarian pizzas for a local homeless shelter.

Prison staff did not send a pizza to the shelter, but Workman's supporters did. Johnson wants the people who supported him to do the same.

Mr. Johnson realizes that his $20 allotment will not feed many homeless people," Henry said earlier this week in an email. "His request is that those who have supported him provide a meal to a homeless person."
