Tuesday Afternoon
Tuesday Afternoon's JournalOne of the most unique documents ever written. Those men knew that in order to ensure a strong
nation they must ensure that each individual had the power to say (#1) what they meant and mean (#2) what they said. They understood that collectively our power came from the strength of each individual. These rights were to be maintained by a responsible notion of living within a peaceable society while allowing for the fact that not all nations (individuals) would be of this same idea. In essence they were trying to create a treaty whereby the individual was synonymous with the government. They understood that power comes from the individual toward the collective. In times where an individual had need to draw upon the collective, the power would flow in that direction and the individual would return according to their talent.

I thought America was born to get away from Kings bestowing upon their subjects.
I thought this Grand Experiment was designed because people have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, while assuming the responsibility of being a good citizen and a contributing member of society. To live harmoniously and peacefully while recognizing the fact that others in the world may not therefore; one must be prepared for circumstances that may arise not of their choosing but, must be handled as quickly and judiciously as possible. Restraint and moderation were the norm.
Maybe I looked out the window too much during my American History class. It was spring, after all.
I agree with Turley.
I got laughed off DU2 for suggesting it. So, NO don't hold your breath --
all I wanted them to do was bow out for ONE WEEKEND in solidarity and out of respect for the victims. Somehow this was twisted to mean that -I- was victimizing the Sports Program.
whatever.
it is weird to me how it is OK to bring stuff to Meta FROM another forum/group BUT it is NOT OK
to take stuff from Meta back to the Group especially when it is in regards to the same topic.
drunk on their narcissistic authoritarian fantasy of power although I don't doubt that it is
fueled by alcohol.
