I've seen two references, now, to a possible removal of the impediment to a Presidential third term by Trump (& cohorts). And Trump himself recently said something like he was planning on the 7 years remaining, and then who knows.
I would not be surprised to find there's an actual plan for this, how to do it. They've already got their 2020 campaign started.
Just chew on that for a while. As if we needed another reason for it being critical to get him out of the White House.
Obama's First Retrospective Job Approval Rating Is 63%
This is from Feb 15th, so I don't know if it was posted already.
But Gallup released the results of a new poll on Obama's job approval, in retrospect, now that a bit of time has passed.
His job approval rating is now 63%.
Ahead of him are Kennedy (86%), Reagan (72%), George HW Bush (64%). George HW Bush?
George W Bush, ironically (who always seemed to want to outdo his father) is #8 on the list, below Jimmy Carter.

My brother the gun nut...
My brother, the ultimate gun nut. He collects them. He even has an assault rifle (put away...he doesn't shoot it). He goes to the shooting range. He lovingly cleans his guns and is always on the lookout for yet another gun. He is a strong 2nd Amendment supporter. He thinks the government tried to take guns and ammo away from the citizens a few years ago, when the local shops ran out of ammo (I asked him...you don't think the shops were out because there had been a run on the ammo, and the stores sold out? He just looked at me, as if he hadn't considered that. I mean, Target runs out of clothing, if something's popular and there's a run on it.)
I'm telling you all this to tell you...my brother is fine with assault rifles being banned. In fact, he thinks they SHOULD be. He says they are war weapons and don't belong out in the general public. Those gun shocks, or whatever those things are called - those should be banned, too, he thinks. These type of things serve no useful purpose except to kill people, he said.
He used to be an NRA member, but left a couple of years ago after one of those shootings where an assault rifle was used.
Just letting you know: There ARE 2nd Amendment supporters who will agree to, or go along with, some control bills.
In my state the law is arresting people for threats against schools.
Facebook posts about "I may shoot up a school tomorrow. You never know." Arrested 28 year old man. A couple of juveniles were picked up and are being investigated.
Very proactive. Good.
These are wacky people...the ones doing threats after these Florida kids were killed. There are so many wackos...they should NOT have guns. And this is gun territory. Easy to get a gun.

The Florida state House on Tuesday rejected a ban on assault weapons and large capacity magazines as dozens of survivors of last week's school shooting headed to the state Capitol to turn their grief into political action.
Lawmakers voted down a motion to consider the ban during a session that opened with a prayer for the 17 people killed by a former student last Wednesday at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland. The vote in the Republican-dominated body was 36-71.
Stoneman Douglas students in the gallery of the Capitol during the vote appeared stunned, according to CNN affiliate Spectrum News 13/Bay News 9.
House Rep. Kionne McGhee of Miami invoked the shooting in asking that HB 219 -- which would ban AR-15 rifles and other assault weapons and large capacity magazines -- be moved from committee to the House floor for questions, debate and a vote.

If the people of Florida want the ban on assault weapons and large mags, they need to vote these legislators out and replace them with ones who do what their constituents want. VOTE 'EM OUT!
The lawyer who lied to the FBI...his crimes must be REALLY bad...
Can you imagine just what this lawyer Van der Zwaan did, that he then went and deleted emails, encrypted documents, tried to hide other electronic evidence? He had to know the FBI can catch this sort of stuff....easy as chewing gum for them. So that must mean that his crimes were bad enough to be worth getting caught obstructing justice, adding to his crimes.
Saw on the news that he was caught pretty quickly, too. Just 3 months after the guy tried to remove the evidence, he was indicted.
One interesting footnote, though: HE HAD RECORDED ONE OR MORE CONVERSATIONS! Now THAT'S interesting. I wonder who and what he recorded. And why.
You can't make this stuff up. It gets weirder and weirder.
UPDATE: just read that Van der Zwaan was indicted re communications w/Gates....including Gates' and Manafort's efforts re foreign lobbying...AND Van der Zwaan's wife, Eva Kahn, is the daughter of Russian billionaire German Khan. HIS WIFE IS THE DAUGHTER OF A RUSSIAN OLIGARCH.

The Mueller team is amazing.
That his team discovered all this information, tracked it down, put together EVIDENCE of it all...it's mind boggling. I worked at a law office for decades, helping to gather, assimilate, and organize mounds of documents and evidence. It's incredibly complicated and time consuming, and involves a team of people all working together into the wee hours of the morning. This must be the best and smartest team in the world, esp considering these weren't Russian Joes. These were Russian agents backed and trained by the Putin regime.

The Russian Nationals couldn't vote, but....
they could send reps to the House of Representatives to have a say in things.
I read that somewhere today. Anyone know anything about this?
I'm wondering if those Russian Nationals spread money around to Republicans in the House of Representatives, and/or to those running for Congress in 2016.
That would explain a thing or two, if that happened.
