Note that there is a deduction for "religious instruction tuition," that Hatch added. OMG. The cost of private religious schooling..not only do they get some public education funds in some instances. Now they'd get a tax deduction? Separation of church and state?
In Hate Radio Land....
I was flipping radio stations in the car today and heard less than 2 minutes of a hate radio show (sounded like Rush Limpballs)...all I heard was Obama Obama Obama...
They're trying to stick the Flynn crime on Obama.
But cool Obama covered his a_s. He fired Flynn, and told Trump not to hire him. So Trump, in his anti-Obama everything practice, hires Flynn and appoints him to the most sensitive important security position in the cabinet.

Matt Lauer - Heard on tv someone mention something about it...
seems that some people "in the biz" know what happened. One of the gals on The Real (?) mentioned that the Lauer thing came from "that thing that happened" in 2014. Something like that.
Page Six reports that it stems from a staffer that reported to HR that Lauer sexually harassed her during the Olympics in 2014. Page Six said that she had compelling evidence, as well as evidence that it happened to other women. The complainant has not asked for money, per her lawyer.
Interesting note: In divorce papers filed by his wife years ago, Lauer's wife cited "cruel and inhumane" behavior. She later withdrew that, they stayed married, but she lives elsewhere with the kids. (I'm guessing...just a guess...that they stayed married for the time being, for money and tax purposes.)
Wow. I wonder what evidence the staffer could have of the 2014 harassment. Security video? Oh...I bet some phone messages or texts or pics.
I lost my Cocker Spaniel, Roy, tonight.
He was dying...events started in the last few days and progressed rapidly. Tonight I took him to ER, and they explained to me how bad he was and that he may not make it through the night. So it was best to put him to sleep.
I am having him cremated and will keep his ashes alongside my last Cocker Spaniel's.
I have his companion, Rosie, still (a terrier mix). She seems to know, but I'm not sure. She's very smart and smelled Roy's blood and saw me crying, carrying Roy around. She gave me a special welcome when I came home, as if to say she knows. I hope she understands and won't start looking for him.
My heart is breaking. I loved the little Munchkin. He was so sweet and good natured and happy. He was 11 or 12 (not sure...he was a rescue). I will miss my little fellow.

I ran across this ad on a WalMart's online site. I thought it was pretty unusual, given that the area is Trump country.
(Note: He's not just a BR atty; he practices other kinds of law. But I guess BR is a big part.)

Franken has turned out to be enemy #1 to the Republicans, and particularly strong against Sessions' lying. He's articulate, smart, bold, and popular...and has made his point several times in a way that no other senator has.
Soooo...they are trying to get rid of him.
McConnell, too, is in the process of trying to get Sessions as a sign-in to Roy Moore's slot, to give Trump a way to fire Mueller.
Moore's Lawyer said on TV that not once has Moore acted inappropriately when he's been w/him.
How's that for a recommendation? His lawyer says that he's been around Moore a LOT in the presence of women, and not once....not ONCE...has Moore done or said anything inappropriate.
Do some men not understand that sexual predators don't normally assault women in the presence of other men?
That's like saying, "I've been around Ted Bundy a LOT, a LOT, in the presence of women. And not once...not ONCE...did he kill any of them."

The House of Representatives Ways & Means Committee today passed the Tax Cut Bill out of committee to be taken up for a vote.
Ryan has also stated they need to get the federal judges confirmed in a hurry.

The votes are NOT all counted yet. There are no "official" demographic numbers yet. That will come in time. I'm sure the Democratic Party is going to study what happened here, so it can try to repeat this huge win in the 2018 mid-terms.
