Prof. Tribe says "Aaargh!"
https://twitter.com/tribelaw/status/1094002971099181064What a world in which a high official admittedly guilty of racist conduct is shielded from growing calls for resignation by credible accusations of rape against the guy in line to replace him if he steps down, and by a confession of racist conduct by the second-in-line. Aarrgh!
I notice the GOP members are going out of their way to interrupt the black female committee members
What if in 2004, Vanessa Tyson had sent an email alleging Justin Fairfax raped her to a wide
circle of his friends, acquaintances, colleagues and potential employers, and then declined to take any further action or say any more about it.
Would you have, based solely on that allegation, concluded that Tyson was telling the truth and Fairfax had indeed raped her, even if he denied it?
If so, please explain why.
If not, please explain why not.

I have a question about this "Believe ALL Women" thing
Does it mean believe ALL women WHENEVER they accuse ANYONE of ANY crime? Or when they accuse any MAN of any crime?
Would it apply it apply to a Starbucks manager who tells police that two black men were trespassing because they didn't buy coffee as soon as they walked in the door?
Or does it just mean that we must always believe every woman who ever alleges that any male sexually assaulted them? So would that mean that the woman in New York who accused the little black kid of grabbing her ass in a store had no right to be challenged and the little boy should have been labeled a sexual predator at least until a passerby's video showed he hadn't even touched her?
How exactly does this "Believe ALL Women" thing work?
The statute of limitations for rape in Massachusetts is 15 years
Vanessa Tyson alleges that Justin Fairfax raped her in Boston in July 2004, so the statute of limitations to file a criminal complaint has not run out.
Should Dr. Tyson press charges and seek a criminal investigation and trial?
Is there any reason at this point that she should not?
Is there any reason that she should?
(Thanks to JBerryHill for first pointing to this statute of limitations).
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez blasted for sour expression
Why doesn't she smile more?
Republicans Blast Alexandria Ocasio-Cortezs Sour Expression During State of the Union Address
By Andy Borowitz
Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortezs facial expression during the State of the Union address came under continued attack from Republicans on Thursday, with the former House Speaker John Boehner joining the chorus of disapproval.
When I saw her with that pained expression on her face, I couldnt believe my eyes, Boehner said. It was like nothing I had ever seen before in my life.
The former Speaker said that Ocasio-Cortez broke his No. 1 rule of reacting to a State of the Union speech: No matter what the President is saying, be sure to look cheerful and upbeat at all times.
I didnt always agree with what President Obama had to say over the years, but I always kept a smile on my face, he said. I think if the congresswoman went back and looked at video of me and my fellow-Republicans during the Obama speeches, she could learn a lot about maintaining a non-stop happy facial expression.
