Corbett = Worst Governor Ever.

I wish we could rid of that SOB.
I just can't believe this is happening in Pennsylvania and there doesn't seem to be any way to stop them.

That is pretty much how I look at it, too.

The judge ruled that the legislature could pass such a law, not on the constitutionality of the law. That is for a higher court to decide.

Someone posted an excerpt from the PA Constitution a while back and the law seems to be in direct violation--- (at least IMO, which is worthless. LOL)

From femmocrat: Seeing those miners clap for Romney really disturbed me today. I just knew this had to be a non-union mine and the men were probably threatened to stand there or face some kind of penalties. JMO, though... I don't have any proof of that. They all look positively miserable in the photo, though.

HARRISBURG — A $300 million-a-year state program that helps school districts pay to construct or renovate buildings will soon be closed to new projects, at least temporarily, as state officials decide whether it needs to be changed or eliminated.

Some districts are rushing to submit their plans before a nine-month moratorium starts in October.

Schools are under financial pressure from growing pension obligations and state funding cuts, and they’re concerned the moratorium could be the first step toward elimination of the so-called PlanCon reimbursement.

PlanCon refers to the Education Department’s “Planning and Construction Workbook,” a complicated review that runs from justifying the need for a project to designing it, acquiring the land, building it and paying for it.

Jim Roddey, the Allegheny County Republican chairman, has apologized for an election night joke in which he quipped that a supporter of President Barack Obama was "retarded."

Mr. Roddey, the veteran GOP leader, was speaking Tuesday night at state Rep. Randy Vulakovich's victory celebration in the special election to fill the North Hills state Senate seat vacated after former Sen. Jane Orie's conviction for using state resources and staffers in campaigning.

"I was in this parking lot and there was a man looking for a space to park, and I found a space for him," Mr. Roddey said. "And I felt badly -- he looked like he was sort of in distress. And I said, 'Sir, here's a place.' And he said, 'That's a handicapped space.' I said, 'Oh, I'm so sorry, I saw that Obama sticker and I thought you were mentally retarded.' "
