femmocrat's JournalI got "The Americans" from Netflix.
I don't know how I missed this series on TV. Wow, it was terrific.
I finished one Stephen King novel and started another one.
I used to waste so much time watching MSNBC and CNN. Now that they are dead to me, I am discovering a whole new world of things to do. I guess there is always a silver lining, no matter how slim it may be.
DirecTV has a cool "Election HQ Mix" channel.
It is on the old Current/AlJazeera channel. They show 4 screens at once: CNN, BBC, MSNBC, and Fox. On the left side of the screen they have a running total of Senate and House results.
Thanks, DirecTV!

Today's Google Doodle honors Walter Cronkite:
Known as "the most trusted man in America," Walter Cronkite was a legendary broadcast journalist many turned to for decades to get the latest news on World War II, Watergate and the Vietnam War, among other things. In honor of the 100th anniversary of his birth Friday, Google created an animated Doodle highlighting some key moments in his career, including his memorable reports on the assassination of President John Kennedy and the Apollo 11 moon landing.
Cronkite, who reported for CBS from 1950 until his retirement in 1981, is remembered for embodying a reporting approach based in objectivity, accuracy, fairness and integrity. He was also an outspoken advocate for respecting the standards of responsible journalism.

Rachel has a big scoop about how the Russians tried to influence the election. On now.
She is discussing the Newsweek cover story coming out tomorrow. Maybe I'll buy a copy!
Proposed bill would allow 15-day early voting period in Pa.

PA is one of only 13 states without early voting. It would require a change to the state constitution, according to the above article.
