No wonder the GOP Establishment like him, he is the perfect empty suit for them.
The red-baiting of Bernie is getting ridiculous.
This whole notion that Bernie being an "OMG SOCIALIST OMG he volunteered at a kibbutz OMG" is going to hurt him in the general election is based on a false premise. The GOP already calls Democrats "communists" and "socialists", Obama is constantly called a Communist despite being a fairly establishment, pro-corporate president. the kind people people scared by the word "socialism" will not be voting Dem anyway.
The Establishment is either chasing after potential Dem voters that don't actually exist, or, more likely, are using that as an excuse for the status quo.

Since then, NOW and other mainstream women’s organizations have been eagerly anticipating her 2016 candidacy. Clinton and supporters have recently stepped up efforts to portray her as a champion of both women’s and LGBT rights.
Such depictions have little basis in Clinton’s past performance. While she has indeed spoken about gender and sexual rights with considerable frequency, and while she may not share the overtly misogynistic and anti-LGBT views of most Republican politicians, as a policymaker she has consistently favored policies devastating to women and LGBT persons.

Why, then, does she continue to enjoy such support from self-identified feminists? Part of the answer surely lies in the barrage of sexist attacks that have targeted her and the understandable desire of many feminists to see a woman in the Oval Office.
But that’s not the whole story. We suggest that feminist enthusiasm for Hillary Clinton is reflective of a profound crisis of US liberal feminism, which has long embraced or accepted capitalism, racism, empire, and even heterosexism and transphobia.

All this shit implying Sanders supporters are racists and sexists needs to stop.
If the Establishment and Clinton supporters keep pushing that narrative that Sanders and his supporters don't care about race and gender equality issues and then Clinton gets the nomination it is going to destroy the Democratic Party and help those RW populist types pushing the "politically correct Social Justice Warriors hate working class white men" narrative.
Prepare yourselves, the MSM is going to turn Bernie's tax comments into a new "Dean Scream".

I'm getting the feeling that Hillary supporters live in a bubble and...
...don't get how much anger, hate, and rage the average American has towards the Establishment right now. There are only 2 people in this race right now speaking to this rage, Trump and Sanders. The rest are, like Hillary, poo-pooing it and telling us worthless peons that we have no right to be angry.
If it is Hillary versus Trump in the general election TRUMP WILL WIN because of that rage. Hillary is DESPISED by most people outside of the narrow political news junkie bubble. I know a lot of Low-information, a-political people who like both Sanders AND Trump and if Sanders is not the nominee and Trump is they WILL vote for Trump.
Why Bernie Enthusiasm is important: down-ticket coat-tails.
Hillary may will the presidency, but she will be stuck with a GOP-run Congress. Only Bernie has the enthusiasm to get out enough voters to overwhelm GOP gerrymandering in the US House and in state legislatures. This is what the Bernie-Bashers howling about "realism" don't understand. The "realists" just meekly accept a GOP-ruled Congress, missing the point that the "delusional" enthusiasm for Bernie is exactly what is needed to take back Congress and the state legislatures.
Bernie will bring out a lot of people to vote that WILL stay home if Hillary is the nominee.
A vote for Hillary Clinton is a vote for Goldman Sachs.
A vote for Hillary Clinton is a vote for the TPP at the expense of American workers.
A vote for Hillary Clinton is a vote for ever increasing profits of HMOs, drug companies, "non-profit" hospitals, and medical device manufacturers that make healthcare increasingly unaffordable and "health insurance" increasingly worthless.
A vote for Hillary Clinton is a vote for ENDLESS WAR in the Middle East in the name of corporate profits.
I cannot accept any of these things, that is why I am voting for Bernie Sanders. If you want more of the same pro-corporate BS we have seen for the past 35 years vote for Hillary. If you want real change, vote for Bernie.
