barbtries's JournalA joke my then 9-year-old told me once.
I think it was 1992, but i get old...anyway.
Bush, Clinton, and Perot are all on a jet when it crashes. Who survives?
Answer: the country.
I have thought wryly about that joke over the past 4 years many times. I didn't know if it was true anymore. I really did not know if my country tis of thee would survive the reign of trump.
I guess that's why I'm crying so much today. It's been a huge load and gone on for so long. Will any of us ever be the same after this?
Gloria?
playing on c-span as trump lands at Andrews.
"i think they got your number"
It's inauguration Day! Watching C-Span live,
switching back and forth from other live streams, like NBC News and PBS.
So I'm listening to the calls on C-span and so far, they're all positive. I keep expecting a trumpster to call in denying Joe's win, threatening violence, whatever. I know in the past few years i have barely been able to listen to it because of the right wing callers.
So it may be just a glitch, but already it feels as if the change is upon us. I'm very emotional this morning. Elated, but teary.
Ranky Tanky
Beat em down. They played tonight at the We are One event, which i'm just now watching on youtube and I knew I did not want to forget this song.
question for DU legal eagles:
If trump's impeachment trial is held off for a period of time, can the House add articles? Kind of the way all the people being arrested for the insurrection at the Capitol can expect to have additional charges added between now and their court date?
thank you. I would like to see the entire oxford dictionary-sized book thrown at the motherfucker.
Can you see the difference between Democrats and Republicans in NC?
