Democrats press U.S. Justice Dept. officials on possible leaks to Giuliani By Sarah N. Lynch and Ma

U.S. Senate Democrats on Monday pressed Justice Department officials about whether some FBI agents may have leaked damaging information about Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton to Rudy Giuliani, now an adviser to U.S. President Donald Trump, shortly before the 2016 election.
In response to questions from Democrats during a hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee, FBI Director Chris Wray said his office was "aggressively investigating a number of leaks," but offered no details.
Monday's Senate hearing followed publication last week of a report by FBI Inspector General Michael Horowitz that concluded that former FBI Director James Comey made a "serious error of judgment" when he announced he was reopening an investigation into candidate Hillary Clinton's use of a private e-mail server a few weeks before the election.

Comey became a controversial figure in the 2016 election, drawing accusations from Republicans and Democrats that his handling of an investigation into Clinton's emails influenced the campaign.
The 500 page Horowitz report also concluded that Comey did not exhibit any political bias in his actions or try to influence the election and did not contest the FBI's decision not to prosecute Clinton for the email affair.
At Monday's hearing, Democratic Sen. Patrick Leahy asked Horowitz if his office had investigated "the leaks of FBI personnel who were actively taking steps to sway the election to Mr. Trump" in his report on the FBI's handling of an investigation into Clinton's use of email server.

Giuliani says people in the porn business are not credible. Trump has appeared in three softcore por

htCNN)When Rudy Giuliani said Wednesday that Stormy Daniels has no credibility because she is is a porn star, he neglected to mention that his client, President Donald Trump, has appeared in three Playboy videos that feature nudity and softcore pornographic content.
"So yes, I respect all human beings," Giuliani said at a conference in Tel Aviv, talking about Daniels, who alleges that she had an affair with Trump, which he denies. "I even have to respect, you know, criminals. But I'm sorry, I don't respect a porn star the way I respect a career woman or a woman of substance or a woman who has great respect for herself as a woman and as a person and isn't going to sell her body for sexual exploitation."
The former Republican New York mayor went on to say, "So Stormy, you want to bring a case, let me cross-examine you. Because the business you're in entitles you to no degree of giving your credibility any weight. And secondly, explain to me how she could be damaged. I mean, she has no reputation. If you're going to sell your body for money, you just don't have a reputation. Maybe old-fashioned, I don't know."
CNN and BuzzFeed reported in 2016 that Trump appeared in Playboy films in 1994, 2000, and 2001. In the first appearance, Trump is seen photographing clothed models with a Polaroid camera and interviewing a Playmate. In the second, he opens a bottle of champagne on a Playboy-branded limousine as visiting Playmates cheer. In the third, he appears backstage at a fashion show with two Playmates along with the future first lady, then Melania Knauss, his girlfriend at the time.tps://www.cnn.com/2018/06/07/politics/rudy-giuliani-trump-credibility-porn-videos/index.htt

Christie denies he's been asked to prep Trump for possible Mueller interview in Russia probe

Former Gov. Chris Christie called any suggestion that he's been asked to prep President Donald Trump for a possible interview related to a special-counsel investigation "dead wrong."
Christie, a longtime ally and adviser to the president, tweeted Monday night in response to a report from The Washington Post that suggested he would help the president for any interaction with special counsel Robert Mueller.
The report quoted Rudy Giuliani, the president's lawyer, saying Christie was among the people being considered to have practice sessions with the president.
Christie would "be willing to do it as [a] volunteer," Giuliani said, according to The Post.

Governor Christie

@GovChristie

The WaPo story tonight saying I have been asked to help prepare @realDonaldTrump for any interview with Bob Mueller is dead wrong. I have not been asked by anyone to do anything of the sort. The story is wrong.

Christie: Comey would have fired me for doing what he did

Source: The Hill

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) said Sunday that if his and former FBI Director James Comey’s roles had been reversed in the 2016 election, Comey would have fired him.
Christie homed in on comments by Comey saying that polling showing Hillary Clinton leading President Trump had led him to believe that Clinton would be elected president.
This in turn influenced Comey's decision to effectively reopen an investigation into whether Clinton had sent classified information through a personal server she used as secretary of State 11 days before the election, a decision Clinton and her aides have said cost her the White House.

“When I worked for Jim, if I had said to him 11 days before an election that I was going to release information that could potentially affect the election, and one of the things that influenced me was polling, he would have fired me. He would have fired me on the spot,” Christie said during an appearance on ABC's "This
