Dumb Criminals: Japanese Thief Accumulated More Than 200 Women's Bicycle Seats
A Japanese man with a fetish for licking and sniffing has been arrested for stealing over 200 bicycle seats that formerly belonged to female riders.
The man, a 35-year-old Yokohama resident named Joji Kondo, was arrested on 24 August after a security camera caught him committing an early morning robbery of three bicycle seats from a neighbourhood apartment complex. After authorities raided Kondos house, they found another 200 seats, all of which had an estimated total cost of over a million yen (HK$ 80,000).
Police reports and Japanese media suggested that Kondo may have been stealing bicycle seats since January 2012. Interviews with him revealed that his odd crime spree was inspired by a desire to sniff the lingering scent of women.
I like the smell and the texture of [bicycle leather seats], Kondo told authorities. I lick and smell them.

Scientific Survey Proves What We've All Been Thinking: Haters Gon' Hate
It is an age-old adage of Twitter, which apparently traces its roots back to a 3LW video from 2000: Haters gonna hate.
Now, scientists have taken it upon themselves to figure out whether this is true. Do verified haters tend to hate everything else they stumble upon? Yes, according to a new study in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology. People who tend to hate things they already know about are (surprise!) more disposed to hate things they have not yet come in contact with.
To test out this theory, a team of psychologists asked study participants how they felt about a number of mundane and unrelated subjects that included (but was not limited to) architecture, health care, crossword puzzles, taxidermy and Japan.
They wanted to figure out if people tended to like or dislike things in general. This was dubbed the individuals dispositional attitude or, more simply put, checked for whether they were a hater who pretty much hates on everything that comes across their path.

Chinese Family Of Three Lives Inside Rented Hotel Bathroom
With space at a premium and skyrocketing rents, one family have found an unusual solution to the housing shortage in one of China's largest cities - by setting up home in a converted male toilet.
When Zeng Lingjun moved to Shenyang to find work, the enterprising 33-year-old decided that instead of his house-hunting mission becoming a busted flush, he would rent out the unused hotel bathroom.
Shoe repairer Mr Zeng moved into the 20 square metre male toilet in 2006 and when he married wife Wang Zhixia in 2010 she joined him, with their baby son Devi born a year later.

Please, please tell me they fit the entire wedding party into a Mini Cooper as they drove off...
Husband & Wife Clown Team Get Hitched At Clownfest 2013 (video at link)
"I have a question for you: was it funny?"
That isn't the first question you expect to hear from a groom on his wedding day. But Billy Tedeski of Pittsburgh was not the normal groom.
Wearing a fake nose, black lipstick and eyeliner, Tedeski was in full clown regalia - one only trumped by guests in full white face and colored threads. His bride, Patty Kulwicki, had a flaming red wig and a red dot on her nose, a lace headband the lone accessory to her heavily embroidered gown.

Goat On Roof Respects One Man - And It's Not The Police
GRESHAM, OR (KPTV) -
A police officer who spotted something unusual in Gresham Thursday night was given a warning not to get any closer.
"The goat will charge you," he was told.
That goat was on the roof of a house.
Officers out on patrol spotted the goat on the 300 block of Southeast 172nd Avenue at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
When they inquired if everything was OK, seeing as how goats aren't found on rooftops every day, they were told this farm animal was not the friendly type.

Now You Can Permanently Turn That Frown Upside Down
A Reddit thread pointed us to a growing trend in Asia: Mouth corner lift surgery.
This is where tiny incisions in the corners of the lip are used to raise the sides of the mouth.
A photo posted by Reddit user anthissomesh*t, shows a woman with very pronounced, Joker-like mouth curls, but we cant verify its authenticity.
According to a video produced by Aone Plastic Surgery in South Korea, this procedure (called a Smile Lipt because it combines lip and lift) corrects drooping mouth corners and enables people to look like they are smiling without actually smiling.
The cosmetic procedure is ideal for patients with sagging or asymmetric mouth corners or people who are not confident with their smiles, the video says.

Harassment Among Game Developers From Fans On The Rise
The relationship between gamers and game developers is unusually toxic lately. It's getting to the point that creators could benefit from support groups. The International Game Developers Association (IGDA) is considering just such an idea to cope with the volume of bile coming toward creative professionals in gaming.
While the advent of social media has made it easier than ever before to get in touch with game developers, this has not been exclusively a positive thing. Polygon recently ran an article describing the massive amount of hatred that developers receive from fans. This often includes rape and death threats, in addition to good, old-fashioned mean-spirited verbal attacks.
Responses to harassment
"We have [encountered] all kinds of personal-level incidents of sexism and developer harassment and LGBT bias," Kate Edwards, executive director of IGDA, told Tom's Guide. "None of these things are unique to the game industry, naturally."

We're trying to elucidate and get a sense of how big of an issue this is."

Here comes the story of Bob Dylan's hair ... which apparently belongs to the ex-wife of Black Keys singer Dan Auerbach. Seriously (according to court docs obtained by TMZ).
We've learned ... Auerbach's extremely bitter divorce with Stephanie Gonis was finalized this week in Tennessee ... after the warring couple came to terms on splitting up their assets.
First, the money: She gets more than $5 million. Plus, she gets the couple's 2012 Toyota Highlander and one of the family homes.

Bacon Festival Runs Out Of Bacon
DAYTON, Ohio (WTVN) -- The organizers of Bacon Fest in Dayton are apologizing after twice as many people than expected showed up, leading to long lines and food shortages.
It's no secret that bacon lovers are passionate and they took their frustrations about the festival to the event's Facebook page. However, the event's organizer, Shannon Morgan, says she heard more positive than negative feedback.
"We will learn from our mistakes and every year get a little bit better with it," said Morgan, who is president of the Miami Valley Restaurant Association.
