People do not start running around again till there is a very low rate of infection

When the rate of infection is very low there will be more herd immunity for us and the virus will move on to look for other hosts, hosts that don't exist as everyone is self isolating. Imagine if the Trump said two months ago "stand by yourself and have no contact with anybody else for the next 14 days". The virus would have caused havock on the people who already had it but, after 14 days, the virus would be mostly gone because it could not survive having no new hosts and the 8 cases could be isolated and resolved in the near future. With fewer infected people, there is less virus around. So when we are coming down the other side of the curve we have bent, it is important to not stop self isolation until the rate of infection has fallen really, really low. And not before then. Otherewise, the crisis could reboot. When that point is reached and people start to run around you keep testing and put out new clusters here and there. It could very well come back in a big way again. And then again. But at that point we might have a vaccine or better treatments and more and more herd immunity. It could turn seasonal. Depends how long people who have had the virus stay immune. Or how much coronavirus mutates. That would lessen herd immunity. The hope is that it is this one time and we get our act together and stamp out little outbreaks here and there and develop a vaccine. Or ten. You are right to be worried.

Think of all that shaded area under the curve as the amount of virus there is.

Don't take word or anybody elses. Read the Hammer and the Dance (i found the graphs really hard to follow so i gave up and just read the text). https://medium.com/%40tomaspueyo/coronavirus-the-hammer-and-the-dance-be9337092b56

Because medical price gauging should only be done by the CEOs of

big pharma. How else to realize the libertarian dream of hell for poor people and deals for the rich with no middle class with any power. If only the planet was a game of golf where the closer you are to your goal of being 1% the easier everything gets. But if you are born poor you get nothing. Less than nothing. If you scramble your way to the lower middle class all you can afford is a skinny healthcare plan that doesn't help you if someone in your family gets really, really sick and only the rich can afford diabetes medication. What a wonderful world to build.

Trumps thanks all the ceos for coming together. "It's a miracle", apparently. What about

healthcare workers showing up for multiple shifts in danger zones? Is that a miracle? Or are they still mask and ppe hoarders? Trump thinks some reporter should go to the hospitals and ask where the masks are. And why are they using 30 times more masks? Um maybe because they have to remask for every patient they see no matter what the diagnosis as any doctor, nurse, heartbypass patient, pregnant woman, child tonsilitus patient, cancer surgery patient, orderly, or coronavirus victim could all be a carriers of COVID-19.

With great emotive reaction Tucker Carlson wants Burr gone. They need

a showtrial to prove they are not corrupt when the GOP and anything they legislate absolutely are. Called a truthline they are running. Conservative Premier Doug Ford in Ontario holds a press conference every day to protest and embarass price gougers. He makes the news every night doing that. The word is out in conservative circles: the people know they are corrupt. Time for mitigation lest that knowledge becomes a wave.

Or maybe ventilators could be sent across the country as each state

hits peak COVID-19. RIGHT NOW the stockpiles would go to New York. In 4 weeks they might go to Louisianna. Like that.

Why can't the states share ventilators depending on where they are on the coronavirus curve?

Infection Rate Doubling Every Three Days In New York

"SNIP......

“Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who last week adopted a friendly tone toward President Trump, got as close as he has to chastising the federal government, which has so far sent 400 ventilators to New York City,” the New York Times reports.

Said Cuomo: “You want a pat on the back for sending 400 ventilators. What are we going to do with 400 ventilators when we need 30,000 ventilators? You’re missing the magnitude of the problem, and the problem is defined by the magnitude.”

Cuomo said the rate of new coronavirus infections in New York is doubling about every three days: “We haven’t flattened the curve. And the curve is actually increasing.”

Or if his pivoting to the economy in two weeks gets shot down he can

claim demoicrats, and deep state health, stopped his wanting to help the economy.

Didn't 60 Minutes do a story a few weeks ago about Russia coopting narratives

in the US to manipulate things? Market has a good chance of falling tomorrow. Mitch is now going to blame it on Democrats for not voting for corruption. Then Mitch will play act some more and try and make it a meme.

Because he keeps transfering money from the workers to the rich GOP hierarchy.

They are hoping for a tipping point where the middle class is cleaved and the rich liberals vote republican because they are so afraid of the bleak prospects the 'dirty' poor face. When there is no middle class there is a precipice at the end of being rich. So the rich put up with corruption and sell their souls and all vote republican lest they have to contribute the millions they will have to to make things right again after the Trump transfer-corruption has eaten up all the seed corn. With one third of the country never voting that gives republicans a suoermajority to continue to steal from the poor. And cleave. And corrupt. And those who find themselves 'middle class' are not getting much so they steal from the poor. And then the USA is India. And the ladders are all pulled up.
