Beyond the obvious stupidity, why is a man walking near a Girl Scout cabin with a pistol in his waistband?

The Hoarse Whisperer
@HoarseWisperer
Okay, hear me out.
New business idea: a sleep gym.
No athletic equipment. Only private nap cubbies.
Your friends when they see you hustling off in sweats: Where ya going?
You: The gym. Back in an hour.
I would seriously join a sleep gym.

Maybe they think this move will make Trump look more truthful. If so, they are chasing the impossible dream.
Jim Jordan, Mark Meadows ask Justice Department to probe Cohen for perjury
WASHINGTON Two of President Trumps top defenders on the House Oversight Committee issued a perjury referral to the Justice Department on Thursday seeking charges against Michael Cohen for allegedly lying during his high-profile public testimony.
GOP Reps. Jim Jordan and Mark Meadows sent a letter to Attorney General William Barr asking that he charge Cohen for knowingly making false statements to Congress.
They said he lied when he claimed he never wanted a White House job, said he never defrauded any bank, denied any foreign government ties, and more.
Cohens testimony was a spectacular and brazen attempt to knowingly and willfully testify falsely and fictitiously to numerous material facts, Jordan and Meadows said in their letter.

Sully, George H.W. Bush's dog, starts new job with wounded U.S. service members, veterans
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Lifting his thick paw to shake, former President George H.W. Bushs service dog took an oath to serve at Walter Reed National Medical Center on Wednesday, embarking on a new job helping disabled American veterans and active-duty service members.
Sully H. W. Bush became famous as canine caretaker and constant companion to the 41st U.S. president in the final stages of his life. In the Capitol rotunda after Bushs death in 2018, Sully faithfully laid down beside Bushs casket.
In his new role as a hospital corpsman in a Walter Reed facility outside Washington, Sullys duties are to provide support, comfort and cheer to wounded veterans, their families and facility staff, thus reducing stress and increasing positive feelings, the medical center said.
Sully will go on to spread his love at Walter Reed Hospital. He was a loving companion when my Gampy needed him most, Jenna Bush Hager, Bushs granddaughter, posted on Twitter on Thursday.

Is there any benefit to Michael Cohen for appearing before the House today?
Is he testifying voluntarily? Is there a possibility of reduction of sentence? What is his motivation?

Do you suppose he talked with Vietnamese leaders about his bone spurs, as well? I'll bet they had a good laugh about that.
Cadet Bone Spurs is tweeting this morning from Vietnam.

@realDonaldTrump
I have now spent more time in Vietnam than Da Nang Dick Blumenthal, the third rate Senator from Connecticut (how is Connecticut doing?). His war stories of his heroism in Vietnam were a total fraud - he was never even there. We talked about it today with Vietnamese leaders!

Sorry about the source, but its the only place I saw this report.
How does someone who has lived an affluent life where everything has been given to her think that she can speak for low income workers?
Could Ivanka really be this out of touch?
Ivanka Trump challenges Ocasio-Cortez platform, says Americans don't want 'guaranteed minimum'
Ivanka Trump, President Trumps daughter and a White House senior adviser, lauded her fathers economy and said the majority of Americans ideologically believe differently than Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., in an interview with Fox News host Steve Hilton.
Youve got people who will see that offer from the Democrats, from the progressive Democrats, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: Heres the Green New Deal, heres the guarantee of a job, and think, yeah, thats what I want, its that simple. What do you say to those people? Hilton asked Ivanka Trump in the interview set to air in full on Sunday.
I dont think most Americans, in their heart, want to be given something. Ive spent a lot of time traveling around this country over the last 4 years. People want to work for what they get, Trump told Hilton. So, I think that this idea of a guaranteed minimum is not something most people want. They want the ability to be able to secure a job. They want the ability to live in a country wheres theres the potential for upward mobility.

And his poll numbers are rising. Are his supporters really that stupid or do they just not give a damn?
5 different members of Trump's cabinet were caught in scandals this week
Five different members of President Donald Trumps cabinet were ensnared in scandals this week, most notably Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta, who previously declined to prosecute Jeffrey Epstein, a billionaire accused of molesting dozens of underage girls over the last two decades.
---
The White House has reacted carefully to the news, with Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders stating Friday that officials were looking into the matter and calling it a very complicated case.
Acosta is hardly alone, however: Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, and Heather Nauert, Trumps former pick for U.N. ambassador, have also been consumed by scandal in recent days and the sheer volume and pace of those revelations have been nearly overwhelming, experts say.
The pace and seriousness of these scandals is anything but normal, Tribe said in an email to ThinkProgress Friday. Its truly unprecedented. No presidential administration in U.S. history has been so ensnared in scandal.
