Freepers apoplectic over Zimmerman jury asking a question about manslaughter

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3042577/posts

The Freepers are heavily invested in seeing to it that gun worshipping racists are able to kill minorities in their neighborhoods at will.

Yup! It looks as though the girls intend to give Holder’s Black Pampers something to keep them cooled down.

IMO the fact that they didn’t declare him not guilty within an hour means the jurors are idiots.

I’ve been saying all along that the wildcard here is the all female jury. I cannot believe the defense allowed this to happen. This is a very simple case. Most of what was presented was fluff and distraction. The fact that they are asking this question and that they have been out so long indicates that they are way over-thinking this thing. Emotion is ruling over logic.

CNN: Zimmerman Jury asks the judge a clarification question about "Manslaughter"

Interesting

This is where I thought they would end up. Doesnt mean they will but it's a clue into what they are thinking.

Dialogue with Hair on Fire members

Pro-Snowden Hair on Fire member: Can you believe that Obama? He said he wouldn't do the same thing as Bush, but there he is spying on Americans!

Other DUer: Wait, is he doing the same thing as Bush? Maybe I missed it but is Obama having FBI/CIA/NSA listen to American's phone calls without a warrant?

Pro-Snowden Hair on Fire member: Oh, now you are trying to make excuses for spying on Americans? You like that Obama is doing that don't you? The rest of us are not authoritarians. Take that elsewhere.

Other DUer: Hey, hold on a second here. I asked a simple question. I was very upset when I found out that Bush was listening to American citizen's phone calls without a warrant. Is Obama doing the same thing? I was told he is getting a FISA warrant and is only having the NSA put metadata in database vaults for later use if necessary. Is that not right?

Pro-Snowden Hair on Fire member: I knew it. I'm not falling for this game, OK? Play it with someone else who also doesn't care about the privacy of Americans.

Second Pro-Snowden Hair on Fire member: Good Job Pro-Snowden Hair on Fire member! Next thing Other DUer will be telling you is that Obama is playing n-th dimensional chess.

Third Pro-Snowden Hair on Fire member: Yes, or they will tell you "You never loved him".

Other DUer: WTF is going on here? When did DU become like this? Can I not even get some basic information from other DUers about what it is we know for a fact and what is being guessed at? If I am wrong can you at least point me to some info?

Pro-Snowden Hair on Fire member: We're not going to waste our time with you Other DUer. We all know a third way Obama apologist when we see one.

Other DUer: At this point I expect Ashton Kutcher to jump out and tell me I'm being punked. Kafka himself would not believe how surreal this is.

Pro-Snowden Hair on Fire member: Other DUer, we actually care about the Constitution and Fourth amendment, we know those things don't matter to you.

Other DUer: Why stop there? Why not call me a Nazi and Stalinist while you are at it?

Pro-Snowden Hair on Fire member: You ARE a Nazi and Stalinist. What Obama is doing is the same thing those people did.

Other DUer: Someone please wake me up and tell me DU is not really like this now.

Pro-Snowden Hair on Fire member: You third way DLCers better get used to it. We are not going to put up with this centrist triangulation anymore.

Other DUer: Centrist triangulation? Is that what asking for facts and a reasonable dialogue is now?

Second Pro-Snowden Hair on Fire member: That's it, I'm adding you to my ignore list Other DUer. I have an article to write and don't have time for this.

Other DUer: Time for what? Asking for facts and more information? Oh well, I'm on her ignore list so its a waste of time to reply I guess.

Third Pro-Snowden Hair on Fire member: Other DUer, its like this, we care about the fact that the government is spying on its citizens and you dont seem to care about that.

Other DUer: Of course I would care about that if its happening. What evidence do you have that this is happening?

Third Pro-Snowden Hair on Fire member: There you go again. Second Pro-Snowden Hair on Fire member was right. It is a waste of time talking to you. Plonk.

Pro Snowden Hair on Fire member: Other DUer, I dont understand how you could be mad when Bush does something then totally OK with it when Obama does it.

Other DUer: I've never had a migrane before, but I think I am getting one now.

I've got the antidote to the NSA craziness infesting GD and other parts of DU.

Since I wasn't getting anything remotely resembling facts back when I discussed it, I have put the terms NSA, Snowden and Surveillance in my trash can under My Account.

I also have a couple of dozen DUers on ignore. I now see nothing regarding the NSA/Snowden issue in GD. If anyone wants my ignore list, PM me.

UK, Germany, France, Bolivia, Venezuela, Do we even need to research Russia and China?

So the question that is going to remain when all the manufactured outrage is finished is:

When can we have the rational discussion about what kind of national security surveillance program is needed if any? Those of us on DU on my side of the issue have been ready since day one. Those of you on the other side are too busy falling over yourselves in a hyperbolic blame fest. That blame fest probably seems a little sillier since the revelations about all the other countries that do it including the western democracies and the Latin American countries and administrations that some of you think are heroic.

We're waiting to have that conversation whenever you are ready. Take your time, get it all out of your system.

Yep, like Bolivia, Venezuela spies on its citizens too...

Report: Venezuela is spying on its Jews
By Gil Shefler
January 31, 2013 1:53pm

NEW YORK (JTA) — Venezuela’s secret service, SEBIN, is spying on the country’s Jewish community, according to leaked documents said to be from the spy agency.

Last week, Analisis24, a right-leaning Argentinean news website, released 50 documents attributed to the Venezuelan intelligence agency containing private information on prominent Venezuelan Jews, local Jewish organizations and Israeli diplomats in Latin America. The Anti-Defamation League, among others, believes the documents are authentic based on the wealth of detailed and private information included.

.
.
.

The ADL says the report is deeply troubling and is a further sign of the government of Hugo Chavez’s inveterate bias against Jews.

"It is chilling to read reports that the SEBIN received instructions to carry out clandestine surveillance operations against members of the Jewish community, as described in detail in documents leaked by the Argentinean website Analisis24," the ADL said Wednesday in a statement. "In a country where the government and some of its followers have publicly accused the Jewish community of disloyalty and where the community’s institutions and houses of worship have been attacked, reports of this kind of surveillance add fuel to an already incendiary atmosphere inciting prejudice and hate."

Um Evo, does Bolivia spy on its citizens?

http://legacy.utsandiego.com/news/world/20080124-1513-bolivia-policespying.html

ASSOCIATED PRESS

LA PAZ, Bolivia – Bolivia's national police commander said Thursday that his own department's intelligence service had spied on politicians and journalists without his knowledge and angrily accused a subordinate of directing the “dirty work.”
The announcement by Gen. Miguel Vasquez was prompted by materials sent anonymously to several Bolivian news media this week, which appeared to document efforts to follow opposition state governors, a television reporter, and two congressmen aligned with President Evo Morales.

.
.
.

Antonio Peredo, a senator from Morales' Movement Toward Socialism party, downplayed the revelations.

“We all know there exists state security system, and that system has to keep up on the movements of political parties, unions,” Peredo said. “Everybody's done it.”

If you have been fooled into believing the German Government is mad at us...

you should know that German Intelligence, the BND is every bit as aggressive as the NSA and CIA.

There is a German document in Wikileaks that details a 2006 collaboration between the BND and Germany's media to identify media sources and provide coverage. Germany is planning to invest $130 million over the next 5 years in its own online Surveillance program.

When not doing press conferences, privately, the governments in Europe are non-plussed.

Germany also profits from US, British spying

Public outcry has emerged over British and American monitoring of global communications. But the German government has so far been reserved in its criticism, partly because the country receives data from such monitoring.

"The topic of commensurability is important" in any imperative to gather information - that was the extent of German Chancellor Angela Merkel's criticism with regard to the Prism spying program during US President Barack Obama's visit to Berlin last week.

Merkel has reason to limit her criticism on the topic. Although the fact that large parts of Internet communication are being monitored was known necessarily known to the general public, the chancellor was unlikely to have been surprised.

German spies have also been sniffing around online - and on a large scale, not just in cases of concrete suspicion. The German Federal Intelligence Service (BND) is legally allowed to rifle through up to 20 percent of the communication between Germany and other countries, and monitor certain Internet search terms.
