Donald Trump, Felix Sater and the Mob: Lawyers Push to Unseal Court Documents They Say Could Show Fraud By President
Lawyers seeking to unseal documents related to the criminal past of a former business partner of President Donald Trump said in federal court on Monday that the documents may contain evidence that Trump committed fraud.
The sealed documents are from a federal case against Felix Sater, who Trump reportedly tapped as a senior advisor for his real-estate business in the 2000s even after Saters earlier role in a Mafia-linked stock scheme became public.
A fellow named Donald Trump is now president and he had a business associate named [Sater.] The public needs to know the length of their relationship and the nature of the relationship and what kind of person [Sater] is, attorney Richard Lerner said in Brooklyn federal court Monday afternoon. By allowing this regime of secrecy to continue, its facilitating what may have been fraud by President Trump.
It was unclear from the court proceeding what acts by Trump could possibly be construed as criminal. But after court ended, Lerner told Newsweek that if Trump knowingly did real estate with a convicted felon, that could constitute financial fraud.

There is a whole LOT of speculation about Flynn flipping.
From Sen. Whitehouse tells Wolf Blitzer there is a lot of evidence Flynn is a cooperating witness with the FBI. He says, "That's a conclusion from all of the evidence and some experience in dealing with this."

Claude Taylor reported this on May 25
1. This is what I have from a source with knowledge of the investigation. "Flynn has begun the proffer process with U.S. Atty Office.
https://twitter.com/TrueFactsStated/status/867825120341106689
2. This involves him sitting down with the FBI & USAG and proferring what he could offer in a trial against his co-conspirators. If his
proffered info is deemed reliable, the government will file a 5k.1 motion, requesting a downward sentencing departure. This is absolute
4. fact. His proffer statement has begun". That's the full statement I received.
*clerical error by yours truly. It's a 5K1.1 motion. Error is mine. Sue me.
In addition to Claude, another poster I respect indicated he thought Flynn has happened as well. PostimusMaximus did/does the Trump/Russia wiki that is now hosted on Reddit that newspapers and magazines used to catch up and make their own timeline when they decided it was all a big deal.
TrumpRussia wiki: https://www.reddit.com/r/TrumpInvestigation/wiki/doc
Here is what he said today. I'll link the first tweet and if you are interested in the thread, click to read/see.
Since A senator reported it now I'll chime in...

I had heard from my own sources that Flynn was flipped around the time Mueller showed up. (We knew he was looking for a deal much earlier)
Don't know why they decided to take the offer finally (assuming its true based on senator's comments). Maybe firing Comey changed things.
Or maybe Mueller himself decided to flip people FBI wouldn't prior.
Didn't ask for details. Would still like 100 percent confirmation, but since it was a senator saying it I don't mind chatting.
I'd still wait on a direct statement before saying with 0 doubt Flynn has been flipped. Reporting trends indicate is plausible.
Rosenstein issued unusual statement about leaks & seems to hint that USG knows Five Eyes leaking
Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein just issued an unusual statement basically telling people not to believe leaks.

Rosenstein also seems to hint that the USG knows of some Five Eyes officials leaking, which would not be super surprising.

Lobbyist for Russian interests says he attended dinners hosted by Sessions
Richard Burt contradicts Jeff Sessions testimony that he didnt believe he had contacts with lobbyists working for Russian interests during Trumps campaign
An American lobbyist for Russian interests who helped craft an important foreign policy speech for Donald Trump has confirmed that he attended two dinners hosted by Jeff Sessions during the 2016 campaign, apparently contradicting the attorney generals sworn testimony given this week.
Sessions testified under oath on Tuesday that he did not believe he had any contacts with lobbyists working for Russian interests over the course of Trumps campaign. But Richard Burt, a former ambassador to Germany during the Reagan administration, who has represented Russian interests in Washington, told the Guardian that he could confirm previous media reports that stated he had contacts with Sessions at the time.
I did attend two dinners with groups of former Republican foreign policy officials and Senator Sessions, Burt said.
Asked whether Sessions was unfamiliar with Burts role as a lobbyist for Russian interests a fact that is disclosed in public records or had any reason to be confused about the issue, Burt told the Guardian that he did not know.

Did Trump, Kushner, Sessions Have An Undisclosed Meeting With Russian?
by Ken Dilanian
The FBI and Congress are examining a campaign event last spring during which Donald Trump, Jeff Sessions and Jared Kushner were in a small gathering with Russian ambassador to the U.S. Sergey Kislyak and other diplomats at Washington's Mayflower Hotel, multiple U.S. officials told NBC News.
Five current and former U.S. officials said they are aware of classified intelligence suggesting there was some sort of private encounter between Trump and his aides and the Russian envoy, despite a heated denial from Sessions, who has already come under fire for failing to disclose two separate contacts with Kislyak. Kushner also denied through a spokesman that he met privately with Kislyak that day.
he officials acknowledged to NBC News that the evidence does not amount to proof, and they have declined to provide details about it.
"The Department of Justice appointed special counsel to assume responsibility for this matter," Department of Justice spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores said in a statement. "We will allow him to do his job. It is unfortunate that anonymous sources whose credibility will never face public scrutiny are continuously trying to hinder that process by peddling false stories to the mainstream media. The facts haven't changed; the then-Senator did not have any private or side conversations with any Russian officials at the Mayflower Hotel."
