Police are hunting for an gunman in Oklahoma after he allegedly killed two people and wounded two police officers.
Authorities say they were called to reports of shots being fired in a caravan park near a highway in Wellston, a small town near the capital Oklahoma City, on Sunday evening at approximately 6:30pm (00:30am UK time).
When officers arrived at the scene the suspect, Michael Vance, allegedly began firing an AK-47 at officers.
The two other victims, believed to be family members of Vance, were found dead at the scene.
One officer was shot in the foot, another was shot in both legs. Both officers' injuries are believed to be non-life threatening, local news channel Koco reported.
The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office said Vance then carjacked a woman living in the caravan park and fled the scene.
No National Coverage for this murderer and cop shooter?

Donald Trumps presidential campaign is facing a fundraising scandal after a Telegraph investigation exposed how key supporters were prepared to accept illicit donations from foreign backers.
Senior figures involved with the Great America PAC, one of the leading "independent" groups organising television advertisements and grassroots support for the Republican nominee, sought to channel $2 million from a Chinese donor into the campaign to elect the billionaire despite laws prohibiting donations from foreigners.
In return, undercover reporters purporting to represent the fictitious donor were assured that he would obtain influence if Mr Trump made it to the White House.
The disclosure raises questions about the origins of money being ploughed into supporting Mr Trumps candidacy.
The PAC consultant who brokered the deal proposed using as a conduit a type of organisation he admitted is seen as being responsible for the dark money in politics.
The revelations also highlight the apparent desperation of Mr Trump's supporters to finance the final weeks of his campaign amid a series of controversies and polls showing him losing in key states.
Mr Trump once labelled Super PACs a disaster that have total control of the candidates, and has criticised Mrs Clinton for relying on outside groups.
Undercover reporters posing as consultants acting for a Chinese benefactor approached specific pro-Trump and pro-Clinton fundraisers and groups after receiving information that individuals were involved in hiding foreign donations.

Kentucky Rep. Edward Whitfield said Wednesday that he will resign from Congress next week. The disclosure, made in a letter to Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin, comes almost a year after the Republican announced he would retire in the face of a House investigation into ethics violations.
His resignation will be effective Sept. 6, the day the House returns from its summer recess, according to his Aug. 29 letter. Whitfield's office said he would announce his future plans in the next 30 days.
Bevin, a Republican, said Wednesday he would call a special election to be held the same time as the Nov. 8 general election. Republican James Comer and Democrat Sam Gaskins are running for the seat.
Whitfield's move would allow his successor in the 1st Congressional District to gain seniority over other newly elected representatives and to serve during a post-election "lame duck" session.
In July, the House Ethics Committee concluded unanimously that Whitfield "failed to prohibit lobbying contacts between his staff and his wife."

Why is it a special election and not just a regular election?
How's this vacant seat looking?

Below, I have reproduced a year-by-year timeline of Americas wars, which reveals something quite interesting: since the United States was founded in 1776, she has been at war during 214 out of her 235 calendar years of existence. In other words, there were only 21 calendar years in which the U.S. did not wage any wars.
To put this in perspective:
* Pick any year since 1776 and there is about a 91% chance that America was involved in some war during that calendar year.
* No U.S. president truly qualifies as a peacetime president. Instead, all U.S. presidents can technically be considered war presidents.
* The U.S. has never gone a decade without war.
* The only time the U.S. went five years without war (1935-40) was during the isolationist period of the Great Depression.
