Listening to the FBI detail the charges against Collins - one comment was that 'no one is above the law'. When I heard that I got this weird feeling that they might have similar information on Trump that he has been involved in insider trading and that this charge of Collins is a 'shot across the bow of Trump'.
Again - this is just a feeling I got listening to the FBI detail the charges against Collins.
Knowing what we know about Trump - it's not hard to believe that he wouldn't take advantage of insider trading along with all the other crap he's been involved in.
Just saying.
Midterm Election Night 2018 And The Networks.....
We know how the networks compete to call an election for a particular candidate on election night. They work off of exit polls for predictions and then they hang on every report from the election counting people in each State to be the first network to call an election. Who wins and who loses.
I think something needs to happen so that we don't have that type of competition on Midterm Election Night. Instead there should be a one or two day period before any winner is announced in any of the races that night. This period would be used to make sure that all the votes are in and they were counted right. That there was no funny business going on to mess with the vote like Russian interference or any kind of hacking. Each race needs to be verified as being right and should be made official.
It seems to me that each candidate running in a race should not have a problem with agreeing to such a wait period and verification process to make sure that they weren't cheated out of a win.
It also seems to me that the Dem and Repug Parties shouldn't have a problem with agreeing to such a verification process as well. As who wins and who loses is important to them too.
I'm just worried that the Networks will not want to cooperate with such a system - because of the competition among the Networks to be the first to announce a winner and break the story.
I'm not sure if such a verification process can be put together at this late date and I'm not sure if this is even something that the Congress has to put into place.
I am concerned that this election might be the most important election ever in the U.S. and that the consequences should we not have such a verification process would be catastrophic to our democracy. We all know that once a winner is announced it is hard to reverse that situation should there be problems with the vote.
Any thoughts here?
What Exactly Is The Word On Opposition Research?.....
Trump claims everybody does it and therefore they have done nothing wrong.
Does Trump have a point here? Can he use that excuse in his defense?
Where is the line drawn between seeking opposition research and conspiracy to work with a foreign government to get dirt on an opponent?
So The Final Dot That Needs To Be Connected On Trump Tower Mtging.....
is - the blocked telephone number - who was it? Trump says he did not know about the meeting. I'm hoping that Mueller has the info on the blocked number and that this tweet of Trump about this meeting will be the straw that broke the camels back.
I'm betting on the fact that Trump knew about the meeting before hand and got a full report afterwards.
I hope Cohen can help in exposing this.
It's Unfortunate - Trump Had The Opportunity Only 44 Men Before Him....
to be a leader of this wonderful country. He really could have been a good president if he wanted to. Instead we got this treasonous goofball - and he decided to be a jerk of a president.
I don't think it will ever happen - but - he might live to regret that he didn't take a better path for his presidency.
Most unfortunate for him and for us and sad.
We're Going To Win So Much You'll Be Sick Of Winning......
This is what Trump says. He says this because he always puts himself in a situation where he can declare a win no matter what the outcome.
For example: He sent the IC community out yesterday to say that he is doing something to prevent interference by Russia in the Midterms and last night he calls this Russian thing a hoax.
He's positioned safely on both sides of the issue now. He's pleasing his supporters by calling it a hoax and declaring fake news and he's playing to his detractors that say he is doing nothing to prevent further interference by Russia.
He does this with almost all of the issues. He places himself on both sides so no matter what happens he can declare that he was right. Hence the win.
And you know what - I am sick of this winning.
This "Q" Group Is Easy To Figure Out.....
It's a group that supports Trump that is putting out very outlandish and fake conspiracy theories about the Dems, Hillary, Obama, Deep State, FBI. Mueller, etc so that when Mueller releases his report and we're given the real story about Trump and his treason and treasonous pals - they will claim it is a fake conspiracy theory and is as outlandish as the things that they are putting out.
They are putting out fake theories so that when the real story is put out by Mueller about Trump - that people will believe it is a fake story as well.
I have a feeling that we're going to find out things about Trump & the Repugs that is going to make some of the fake conspiracy theories that Q is putting out - look tame.
Preventing Future Election Hacking.....
I see that there is a news conference going on about this now. My thoughts on this is that this is just to provide cover for Trump in the Midterms. He will say he's done things to prevent election hacking - albeit that he has waited until 97 days before the election. What about the last two years - Donald? You should have started this a long time ago.
Better late than never just doesn't work here Trump. We already know that Russia is messing around now. So you paying lip service to this is just to provide you cover to say that you've taken measures to prevent hacking.
If the Dems win big in Nov. He'll tell his people that he took measures to prevent hacking and did all he could to prevent. If the Repugs maintain their power base - he wins as well and he'll tell the Dems that carp about this that he took measures to prevent.
Again - he puts himself in a win-win situation by doing next to nothing too late.
Trump Wants This Mueller Investigation Over Now.....
which begs the question - what did Trump do that Mueller still hasn't found out about. Is Trump thinking that he could limit his exposure if this investigation doesn't drag on any further - that maybe Mueller might miss some of Trump's wrong doing?
Mueller Indicted 12 Russians For The 2016 Hacking Of The Election....
As I recall - the indictments were very specific and detailed with the information Mueller's team learned about this hacking - right down to the names of the Russian individuals that did the hacking and the techniques they used.
That should have been a shot across the bow of the Russians to let them know just how good our intelligence is when investigating this hacking and should have raised red flags to Russia with respect to any future hacking. Basically - that they could be caught red handed and that if they tried to hack future elections - that we're on to them and could most likely catch them in the act.
Because of this - I'm surprised that we're hearing reports again that the Russians are at it again for 2018.
Have the Russians learned how to get around our intelligence or are they just that stupid that they would try it again?
I guess another explanation is that even these 12 that were indicted - will never be brought to justice - so what the heck - let's just do it again.
