Is the desension that's playing out in the Repug Party over this healthcare bill just a ruse?
Are they just play acting that there are different factions and they are so divided that this bill won't make it and it will crash and burn - either not make it out of the House or if it does it won't pass the Senate?
Then in the last moments of this - it will pass both the House & Senate - to give them a victory and allow Trump to take the bow as a masterful negotiator.
Ryan & McConnell would both take bows as well saying they know how to handle their respective members.
And all along they were just playing us and the media on purpose to think they are divided.
So Let Me Get This Straight - The CBO Might Not Be Proficient In Counting People.....
If that is so - it is possible that the CBO might be wrong on their estimates of how many people will lose their health insurance.
They might be off on the low side and maybe even more people will lose their health insurance than they estimated.
Why doesn't somebody pose that scenario to Sean Spicer?

like the microwave statement - the interviewer should just bust out laughing uncontrollably. I would like to see KAC face and reaction to the laughing.
Personally I don't know how some of these interviewers hold back from laughing at her.
For Spicer - the White House Press corps should do the same to him and laugh at him when he makes statements that try and defend the indefensible.
The White House is becoming the laughing stock. We're all laughing at them and for that matter the Repugs with this Health Care Insurance thingy.
I would think that would really cause Trump to blow a gasket.

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting would be privatized, while the National Endowment for the Arts and National Endowment for the Humanities would be eliminated entirely.
This is equivalent to what ISIS has done by destroying museums, ancient artifacts and documents in the Middle East.
The Repugs and Trump are equivalent to ISIS. They must be stopped. Resist!!!!!

doesn't make sense cause Hillary was supposed to win and surely it wasn't meant to implode on Hillary.
Unfortunately - the Deplorables will believe him. But we need to challenge them by saying surely the Dems and Obama wouldn't want it to implode on the Dems and Hillary.
Why Don't The Dems Put Out Their Own Healthcare Offering....
They have acknowledged that there are problems with ACA and it needs some tweaks to improve it. They should put together the fixes in the form of a competitive offering to the RepubliCare offering by the Repugs.
Then the CBO could score both and the American People can evaluate the comparison.
This would put the Repugs on the defensive and allow the Dems to point out the deficiencies in the Repug plan.
Spicer made a big deal about the size of their bill in comparison to ACA. I read the ACA bill from cover to cover. It was very comprehensive because our healthcare system is complicated. The writers of ACA virtually thought of everything. All aspects of our healthcare system. The Repug offering - in my opinion - will be very deficient. They put it together hastily and they can't even defend simple questions from the MSM.
Let's Talk John McCain....
McCain is 81y/o. My guess is he is now serving out his last term as Senator in Arizona. He was just re-elected in 2016 so his term ends in 2022 at which time he'll be 87y/o. I really find it hard to think that he might run again.
So I'm thinking that McCain doesn't have anything to lose now if he takes on Trump and this whole Russian connection thing.
He seems to be the most logical Repug to do this. Though I really don't like the guy - he is and has been called a 'patriot'.
I believe he really loves this country and he is in the perfect position to save this country from what appears to be a major effort by Trump and his Party to destroy this country. They appear to be taking it down piece by piece. I don't think he has anything to fear from Trump or the Repug Party.
I see this as his chance to really earn that title of 'patriot'.
It would really be a crowning touch on his legacy.
I'm curious to hear other DU'ers opinions of McCain and ideas as to how we might urge McCain to take his place in history.

Are Others Feeling That We've Experience A Coup d etat In November?.....
It was a total takeover - the presidency, the house and the senate. The Dems are basically powerless. All the committee's in Congress are stacked against us so as to ignore the truth. And now they are systematically destroying the government from the inside.
Are there no patriots in the Repug Party that still believe in the USA that would stand up to this administration?
Right after the November election - I stated that I felt demoralized by what we saw happen. It is now America Held Hostage Day 48 and I can't find a word that expresses my feelings now that is worse than demoralized.
I would like to say that good always triumphs over evil - but - I'm questioning even that now. All I can say is HELP!!!!!!
The American Dream Is Disintegrating Under The Repugs.....
Trump just happens to be their useful idiot. The Repugs are systematically dismantling everything in the USA. Health Care; immigration; schools; the environment - both physical and social; woman's rights; civil rights; etc.
They aren't creating jobs - they are setting us up for a negative job downturn that will this time take us into a recession. Costs for everything will go up - while the only ones that will be able to afford anything will be the top 1%.
This should and will hang on the backs of the Repugs come 2018.
I just don't understand how or why they continue to do the damage that they are doing. One doesn't have to be an economist or a rocket scientist to realize this.
Somehow they need to be stopped.
Why aren't we hearing Dems or MSM painting this picture for us.
We all know this is happening right under our eyes - yet we're letting them get away with this.
This is more than - in the words of Trump - Sad or Bad. It is disgraceful.
