Florida has one of the highest rates of "transience" of any state.
It's right up there with California. Transience, from what I've read, tends to foster anonymity and the evils that can bring. It's definitely harder in many parts of Florida to establish lasting social structures. People come and go so often in this state, especially if you live in Orlando or another major population area.
I'm definitely not excusing heinous conduct, but I think the sheer volume of transience in this state breeds behavior that, say, Iowa does not encounter. Many people move here and then leave within 5 years or so. Some, of course, put down permanent roots. Some are trying to escape their problems "up north" and come to Florida, only to get disillusioned and leave. Florida also has no state income tax, lower property taxes and a very generous bankruptcy allowance (you can keep your million dollar home in a personal bankruptcy).
Florida definitely has its issues.
sigh, can't wait for South Dakota man headlines too

Are you an extreme spender, an extreme saver, or somewhere in the middle ?
Only curious. I'm more on the spendy side but I'm getting more thrifty as time goes by, thank god.

If you run Linux, FreeBSD, MacOs, or some other non-M$ OS, no worries.
Just trying to be helpful, once again.

The reason I'm asking for anecdotal reports is because my son had to see a urologist the other day. He (the urologist) mentioned that Justice Ginsberg had had a CT scan which discovered her pancreatic cancer and that she had "the best possible coverage". He compared her coverage favorably to "Obamacare", but I was not there to debate him or elicit his frank opinions about the law. My impression was he was not too enthused about it.
What have your doctors/health care providers said about the new law ? I'm not trying to wade into the whole debate over the law, simply elicit anecdotal reports. Thanks for your time.

feedback from doctors/health care providers about the PPACA ?
