LOL...a #Russian🇷🇺prankster glued a massive portrait of Vladimir Putin inside a residential elevator. He then placed a camera in the elevator to record people’s reactions.

6 tips for streaming TV without going broke

https://www.tomsguide.com/features/streaming-tv-on-a-budget

In the time it takes to say "Quibi," another streaming service probably just got announced (hilariously, news of a ViacomCBS service just leaked). Each new venture enters the scene like another cannonball in an already-crowded pool, leaving consumers scratching their heads about what to do. The market leaders are already reacting to concerns of stretched budgets, as NBCU's service Peacock is going to be free (with paid tiers).

This all leaves us wondering the same question: "How much is this all going to cost?" I recently saw an article proclaim there was a "magic number" for what to pay for all of your streaming services … and it turned out to just be a story reporting that the average monthly streaming bill is $42.

And let's be clear, while that might sound like a good budget to keep to, not every user streams the same way or watches the same things. Some need live sports from local networks and ESPN, while others won't turn off HBO. Therefore, there's no one answer for everyone.

Don't worry, though; you can do your best to save some cash. Here are my six best pieces of advice for how to stream live TV without going broke:

One thing Trump won’t brag about in his State of the Union: his plans to cut Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid

https://www.marketwatch.com/story/one-thing-trump-wont-brag-about-in-his-state-of-the-union-his-plans-to-cut-social-security-medicare-and-medicaid-2020-02-04

However, over the past three years, the president has proposed changes that would translate to billions of dollars in cuts to the benefits available. In his 2020 budget alone, Trump proposed spending $1.5 trillion less on Medicaid, $575 billion less on Medicare and $25 billion less on Social Security.

In a lazy nod to his campaign promise, he said these changes would come from finding savings in the programs, not reducing benefits, but reality does not bear that out. He also proposed new work requirements for Medicaid and supported every bill Republicans put forward to repeal the Affordable Care Act — every one of which would have shrunk Medicaid.

And last week, his administration put forward a new rule to cap Medicaid spending by letting states accept block grants that would only cover some of the program’s costs.

Last month, Trump gave up the pretense of upholding his campaign promise. In an interview he gave in Davos, Switzerland, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum, he said that cuts to these vital programs were most definitely on the table.

Trump opens door to Social Security cuts

We need to hammer this home to the voters. NO Democrat is proposing reduction in benefits.

Meet the 71-year-old staging a one-man protest in his Trump-loving retirement community (in FL)

For his one-man protest against the president, McGinty has been berated as a baby killer and a “dumb a--,” decried in letters to the editor of a local news site and hit with an anonymous, handwritten threat — a sign that even a town that is described as Disney World for retirees and markets itself as “Florida’s Friendliest Hometown” is not immune to the divisiveness of this political era.

“There was always a divide, but we coexisted,” said Chris Stanley, president of The Villages Democratic Club. “There would be some good-natured back and forth, but your neighbors were your friends. You’d have dinner with the Republicans because it wasn’t a big deal. … These days, the division in the country shows up best in The Villages because now the Republicans, they won’t golf with you anymore, or you don’t want to golf with them.”

The 120,000-person enclave is a Trump stronghold in a county the president carried by nearly 70 percent, where Republicans outnumber Democrats two to one and golf carts — the main mode of transportation — are adorned with Trump bumper stickers. A regular stop for GOP politicians and hopefuls, it is Republican to its roots, created by billionaire conservative developer H. Gary Morse, who donated millions of dollars to the party’s candidates and committees before his death in 2014.

Even employees of The Villages have been pressured to support the Republican cause, according to Politico Magazine, which noted in a 2018 feature on the community that the development firm encouraged them to donate to Mitt Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign to show that “The Villages family is ‘all in.’ ”

Cat-astrophe averted! An old-fashioned ladder wouldn’t have worked in this cat skyscraper rescue in Chattogra, Bangladesh. As firefighters used a cherry-picker to carry a kitty off the ledge of a high-rise building, a crowd gathered below cheered the over-the-top efforts.

"... when Barr became Attorney General he shut down *six* separate investigations into Trump"

I have multiple sources inside the Justice Department that tell me when Barr became Attorney General he shut down *six* separate investigations into Trump and Trump related companies and surrogates.

I'm told Barr has also prevented *two new* investigations from moving forward.

Fox released outside of Parliament

https://twitter.com/kateferguson4/status/1225506178026917888

will look for the story

https://www.stroudnewsandjournal.co.uk/news/national/18217625.fox-causes-chaos-straying-parliament/

A fox caused all manner of chaos after wandering into Parliament on Thursday evening.

The creature was spotted by staff ascending a staircase and making its way into Portcullis House, evading police as it went.

A message on Conservative MP Julia Lopez’s Twitter account read: “Team Lopez: just leaving Westminster office for the night and see a fox climbing escalator into Portcullis House!

“We have seen some strange things in Parliament since 2017, but this tops it!

I do wonder why they could not take the fox out to some woods somewhere.
