In the wake of allegations of Donald Trump misbehaving at Miss Universe pageants — walking freely amongst dressing rooms while participants changed, etc. — one of the first questions television host James Corden had for former Miss Israel Gal Gadot was whether Trump, when she met him at the 2004 Miss Universe competition, had toed the line.
“Show me on a doll where he touched you,” Corden said, during Gadot’s appearance on “The Late Late Show With James Corden” last Thursday.
Gadot’s response?
“So, I’m Israeli,” she said, breaking into a grin. “We go into the military, right? So we know Krav Maga and everything.”
“She would have grabbed him,” Cher, Corden’s other guest, chimed in. “And then he would have never moved again!”

The Truth About Anti-Semitism on Campus — It’s Not All About Israel
THIS IS THE JEWISH GROUP!Reports of anti-Semitic assaults rose dramatically in the past year, particularly on college campuses. And while there may be a tendency to view all critique of Israel as anti-Semitic, a new study finds that at three major universities, politics are not to blame.
“The anti-Semitism that is felt on campus isn’t necessarily attached to Israel, it’s more like the old stereotypes,” Paulee Manich, a junior at Rutgers University, said.
A new study of anti-semitic “hotspots” by the Steinhardt Social Research Institute at Brandeis, found that at Rutgers, Wisconsin and Illinois, anti-Semitic incidents were linked to general Jew hatred, and were less likely to be linked to Israel or the Palestinian conflict. At these schools, where as many as one third have witnessed anti-Semitic harassment, buildings were marked with swastikas, vandals spattered Jewish centers with eggs and students were verbally assaulted. What’s happening at these schools echoes the well-documented rise of white nationalism in the wake of Donald Trump’s Republican candidacy for president.
“It is emblematic of what is happening across the country,” said Greg Steinberger, Executive Director of Wisconsin’s Hillel.
“In my dorm freshman year, I was asked where my horns were,” one senior told researchers.

Emphasis added by me. It seems, with few exceptions, the rise in anti-Semitism garners little more than a bored "meh" from people, including some Jews. It almost appears as if something downright horrible must happen first before it is taken seriously. Given the rise in hate groups, neo-Nazis, and the emboldened hate-mongers of all sides, they may actually get their "wish" sooner than later.
Who Are the Kaifeng Jews — and Why Is China ‘Cracking Down’ on Them?
Recent months have brought reports that descendants of Jews in Kaifeng, China are under threat. Activists call it a government “crackdown.”
Police have shut down the only Jewish learning center in Kaifeng, helmed by the Israeli activist group Shavei Israel, say activists. A well that community members identify as their historic mikveh, for ritual Jewish bathing, was reportedly blocked. Foreign Jewish tour groups are said to have been barred from entering the city. And community members are allegedly being monitored and questioned.
Who are these descendants of Jews in Kaifeng? Are they being threatened and why?
Today there are up to 1,000 people in Kaifeng China who identify as descendants of Jews. They come from eight clans, but all claim descent from Jews who travelled along the Silk Road and settled here, establishing a presence by the 10th century in Kaifeng. In 1163, residents built a synagogue. During the Ming Dynasty, Kaifeng Jewry may have numbered as many as 5,000 people.

'Massive rise' in hate speech on Twitter during presidential election
THIS IS THE JEWISH GROUP!SAN FRANCISCO — On Sunday night, Hadas Gold, a Politico media writer, began receiving threats on Twitter. One image superimposed a yellow star of David on her shirt and a bloody bullet hole in her forehead. Another photoshopped her face on a corpse in a concentration camp oven.
The message that came with the photos: "Don’t mess with our boy Trump, or you will be first in line for the camp."
Gold, whose grandmother fled Poland with her family weeks before Jews from their neighborhood were deported to concentration camps and whose grandfather lost about half of his extended family in the Holocaust, notified Twitter, which moved quickly to suspend the accounts.
Gold says these incidents have become increasingly common "the more we wrote about Trump, and the more we wrote about his rhetoric."
A report this week from The Anti-Defamation League documented the rise in anti-Semitic tweets targeting journalists who cover the Republican presidential candidate. From August 2015 to July 2016, the ADL found 2.6 million tweets with anti-Semitic language. Of those, nearly 20,000 tweets were directed at 50,000 journalists in the U.S., with more than two-thirds of the tweets sent by 1,600 Twitter accounts.

It’s basically a hit list for neo-Nazis or white supremacists.
The mission statement of the site complains that “Jews have had over 100 years of unrestricted immigration into the USA. They now permeate Academic, Activist, Financial and Corporate institutions to the detriment of Western Society.”
“Sadly enough, sites like this are all too common,” Mark Potok told the Forward. He is a senior fellow at the Southern Poverty Law Center, a nonprofit fighting racism.
According to Potok, there has been a rise in anti-Semitism and racism over the last years that coincides with more and more of “this kind of demonizing material about individuals. Although these sites don’t explicitly call for violence against Jewish people, that is most certainly what they seem to be suggesting,” Potok added.
Some of the people listed in the “Jews in Modern Society” directory are publicly known to be Jewish, like Democratic mega-donor, George Soros; the CEO of the Anti-Defamation League, Jonathan Greenblatt; Human Rights Watch Director Kenneth Roth, or Steven Julop, the mayor of Jersey City.

Breitbart News Launches Anti-Semitic Attack on Washington Post Columnist
THIS IS THE JEWISH GROUP!!!Breitbart News attacked Washington Post columnist Anne Applebaum, calling her a “Polish, Jewish, American elitist” and accusing her of having “global media contacts,” a common anti-Semitic screed.
The gratuitous nod to Applebaum’s Jewishness came in a 1,400-word article published Tuesday titled “WaPo’s Anne Applebaum Embarks On Kremlin-Style Disinformation Offensive vs. the Anti-Globalist Right.” According to the story, Applebaum is “on the warpath against the rising populist forces doing electoral damage to her establishment friends and allies across the world.”
The piece comes a month after Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump tapped Stephen Bannon, the chairman of Breitbart News, to be the campaign’s new CEO.

Logo TV is set to honor National Coming Out Day... by going into the closet.
The television channel, which features LGBT-themed shows like “Cocktails and Classics” and “Finding Prince Charming,” will symbolically “censor” all of its queer-related content on National Coming Out Day, which is observed Oct. 11.
