hedgehog's JournalWhat's up with product reviews?
I could understand if the reviews were generally the same, but it's typical to find one that states the product is the greatest thing since sliced bread, and another that claims the product killed the dog then burned the house down. It doesn't make sense in this day of mass production and tight quality control that the reviews should be all over the place.
Talk of the Nation 10/25: Romney and Scott Brown have connections to the compounding pharmacy that
shipped the contaminated steroids that are causing the meningitis outbreak:
Someone in the Massachusetts government overrode inspectors' concerns twice while Romney was governor; a benefit for Scott Brown was held by the owners of the company.
the info comes toward the end of the segment:

Which part of the debate will be most influential:
Obama wiped up the floor with Romney last night: bayonets and horses.
Romney wiped up the floor with Romney last night: Syria is Iran's route to the sea.
But I think the most lasting impression will be this one:
Romney just looked odd!
Ladies: looking for a great idea for a halloween costume?
http://takebackhalloween.org/Time once again for "Name that book!"
It's fairly recent, and I'm trying to recall the name because it was the first of a trilogy ( I think). I only saw it in paperback
The plot was based on time travel paradoxes and also involved an alien machine/worm hole that transferred objects to a specific site every 30 days or so. A secret government agency secures each object as it appears and tries to figure out what the hell it does. There is also a mysterious plane crash involving the First Lady, a possible end to civilization as we know it, people running back and forth sending warnings across time to each other.
I've got to start writing these things down!
Lindsey Graham "The time for talking with Iran is over"
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) on Sunday blasted President Barack Obama's administration for agreeing to discussions with Iran about the county's nuclear program because 'the time for talking is over."
The New York Times reported on Sunday that Obama administration officials had said the White House had agreed in principle to one-on-one meetings with Iran, a result of efforts to pressure Tehran that began soon after Obama took office.
"The Iranians are trying to take advantage of our election cycle to continue to talk," Graham told Fox News host Chris Wallace on Sunday. "As we talk with the Iranians, whether it's bilaterally or unilaterally, the vice president and the president have said, 'We will do nothing without coordinating with Israel.' So, we've talked with them in Moscow, we've talked with them in Baghdad, they continue to enrich."
"I think think the time for talking is over," he continued. "We should be demanding transparency and access to their nuclear program. They've doubled their centrifuges so I think this is a ploy by the Iranians. I hope we are talking to the Israelis."

I nominate Lindsey Graham to personally lead the first wave of troops!
So, anyone hear from Gloria Allred this morning?
I, too, have screwed up on the intertubes from time to time.
You have my sympathies!
It looks like there's a major pile-up in the Lounge
two threads locked, but plenty more where they came from.
Last night on the Daily Show - I think I heard Obama come out and say that
the republicans in Congress have been blocking progress. Is that the first time he's been that blunt? Is he starting to say that in his stump speeches? I think Biden sent up a trial balloon at his debate when he said something about they need to get out of the way.
