Ellis consented to and did not contest this proceeding. I still think that she is getting off too easy but after admitting that she lied, this idiot will only be able to work in traffic court

1.) Ellis falsely claimed on November 13, 2020 that "Hillary Clinton has still not conceded the 2016 election" even though Clinton called Trump to concede the day after the election took place.
2.) Ellis went on the show of Maria Bartiromo and falsely declared that "we have affidavits from witnesses, we have voter intimidation, we have ballots that were manipulated, we have all kinds of statistics to show that this was a coordinated effort in all those states to transfer votes either from Trump to Biden, to manipulate the ballots, to count them in secret."
3.) Ellis told Newsmax's Sean Spicer that "we can prove" the election was "stolen" from Trump in Nevada, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Georgia.
4.) Ellis falsely claimed on Twitter that "we will present testimonial and other evidence IN COURT to show how this election was STOLEN!"
5.) Ellis falsely told MSNBC's Ari Melber that "the election was stolen and Trump won by a landslide."
6.) Again appearing on Bartiromo's show, Ellis falsely claimed that "when we subtract all the illegal ballots, you can see that President Trump actually won in a landslide."
7.) Days after this, Ellis would yet again appear on Bartiromo's show to make false claims about "illegal" ballots costing Trump the 2020 election.
8.) During an appearance on Jeanine Pirro's show, Ellis falsely claimed that "we have over 500,000 votes" in Arizona "that were cast illegally."
9.) During an appearance on Greg Kelly's Newsmax show, Ellis falsely described Trump as "the proper and true victor."
10.) And on Twitter on December 22, 2020, Ellis falsely claimed that there was "overwhelming evidence proving this election was stolen."
Landmark abortion lawsuit in Texas shows the dangers of post-Roe America
This lawsuit is an important piece of litigation. Women are dying and the GOP does not care

The lawsuit, filed in state court, is the first of its kind brought since the Supreme Court overturned Roe and allowed states to ban abortion, according to the Center for Reproductive Rights, which is representing the five women. The 92-page filing details the gruesome reality of life in a post-Roe America, specifically in Texas, where, as the suit alleges, not only the plaintiffs but countless other pregnant people have been denied necessary and potentially life-saving obstetrical care because medical professionals throughout the state fear liability under Texass abortion bans.
To take just one example, the suit tells of one plaintiff who was forced to wait until she was septic to receive abortion care, causing one of her fallopian tubes to become permanently closed.
Following the high court ruling that overturned decades of federal abortion rights, the procedure is now banned or nearly banned in 13 states and severely restricted in others, according to the Center for Reproductive Rights. The lawsuit comes as a Donald Trump-appointed federal judge in Texas could rule any day in a separate case that risks upending abortion pill access nationwide.
According to the Guttmacher Institute, a research organization that supports abortion rights, Texas abortion laws rank among the nations most restrictive, calling the procedure completely banned with very limited exceptions. Its those exceptions that the lawsuit, Zurawski v. Texas, which is also joined by two doctors, calls into question. The plaintiffs allege that state law is not pro-life when it comes to pregnant peoples lives, and the State of Texas has failed to give physicians any meaningful guidance on how to interpret its laws consistent with that goal.
So the suit seeks guidance regarding when doctors can intervene, as they face decades in prison, hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines and the loss of their medical licenses if they run afoul of unclear medical emergency exceptions under state law.
To be sure, its a modest request to ask for mere clarification about how laws seeking to control peoples bodies apply. But given the extreme nature of those laws in the first place, it wont be surprising if the state fights this suit as hard as it fought to ban abortion in the first place.

A department spokesperson said on Thursday that 29 other US Capitol Police officers were also suspended with pay, pending further investigations into police conduct.
Jon Stolnis, a spokesperson, told CNN that "Acting Chief Yogananda Pittman has directed that any member of her department whose behaviour is not in keeping with the Department's Rules of Conduct will face appropriate discipline......
Democrat congressman Tim Ryan said one officer who was suspended on Thursday took a selfie with a rioter who broke into Congress, while another officer wore a Make America Great Again cap.
Mr Ryan told CNN that the same officer appeared to direct rioters around the US Capitol building as it came under attack by Trump supporters.
These officers appear to be among the officers fired or otherwise disciplined

Tucker Carlson pushes the bogus Jan. 6 story he wanted to tell
Tucker's lies and false claims were to be expected

This was an unavoidable outcome given the television personalitys established record. As an Axios report recently noted, Carlson has repeatedly questioned official accounts of 1/6, downplaying the insurrection as vandalism. A CNN report added, [H]e has devoted significant airtime to the false claim that liberal deep state partisans within the FBI orchestrated the insurrection as a way to undermine former President Donald Trump. He has conducted sympathetic interviews with some of the rioters who were subsequently charged by the Justice Department.
In other words, given Carlsons ridiculous record and unsubtle agenda, everyone knew exactly what to expect when the host started sharing the results of his special access. Last night, as NBC News reported, he fulfilled his role in this sad little drama.
Carlson focused Mondays segment on promoting former President Donald Trumps narrative by showing video of his supporters walking calmly around the U.S. Capitol. He asserted that other media accounts lied about the attack, proclaiming that while there were some bad apples, most of the rioters were peaceful and calling them sightseers, not insurrectionists.
Naturally, the Fox host chose not to present the evidence that was at odds with the story he set out to tell. The result was a show that, as NBC News put it, falsely depicted an insurrectionist riot as a peaceful gathering. HuffPost published a related report, noting that Carlson exploited his special access to falsely claim that there was effectively no riot on Jan. 6.....
To be sure, Jan. 6 denialists were delighted with Carlsons program last night, but for every other mainstream observer, the coverage wasnt investigative journalism; it was a theatrical production put on by an unreliable narrator.
