Mueller has emails from Stone pal Corsi about WikiLeaks Dem email dump
Source: NBC
Two months before WikiLeaks released emails stolen from the Clinton campaign, right-wing conspiracy theorist Jerome Corsi sent an email to former Trump campaign adviser Roger Stone anticipating the document dump, according to draft court papers obtained by NBC News.
"Word is friend in embassy plans 2 more dumps," Corsi wrote on Aug. 2, 2016, referring to WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, according to the draft court papers. "One shortly after I'm back. 2nd in Oct. Impact planned to be very damaging."
The email was revealed in a draft court document, known as a statement of the offense, sent to Corsi by special counsel Robert Mueller's office. Mueller also sent Corsi a draft plea agreement stipulating that the special counsel would not oppose Corsi requesting a sentence of probation if he agreed to plead guilty to one count of lying to federal investigators.

AG FERGUSON ISSUES STATEMENT AFTER JOINING BRIEF CHALLENGING WHITAKER'S AUTHORITY
Source: Press release
Attorney General Bob Ferguson issued the following statement today after joining an amicus friend of the court brief supporting the State of Marylands challenge to the constitutionality of Matthew Whitakers appointment as Acting U.S. Attorney General:
Once again, President Trump is ignoring the law, this time by appointing an illegitimate attorney general, said Ferguson. This must be challenged.
The brief, signed by 14 other Attorneys General, supports Marylands request to block Whitaker from exercising the authority of the U.S. Attorney Generals office, or to substitute Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein in his place. The Attorneys General point out that Whitakers appointment is fraught with constitutional doubts.
The legal controversy surrounding Mr. Whitakers appointment has threatened the legitimacy of the Departments actions and the vital relationship between the Department and the States, the Attorneys General write. The Amici States therefore have an urgent interest in a lawful resolution of this issue, so that no doubts surround the legitimacy and authority of the Office of the U.S. Attorney General.

George Soros is doing a great deal of work in electing district attorneys who believe in justice and who are reasonable. In Harris County, George Soros helped to elect Kim Ogg as district attorney in 2016. As a result, we are moving on bail reform and she has stopped prosecutions of minor pot possession. In 2018, Soros backed Brian Middleton in Fort Bend and he won. Here is a good article about another DA who Soros helped to elect https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/public-safety/from-defendant-to-top-prosecutor-this-tattooed-texas-da-represents-a-new-wave-in-criminal-justice-reform/2018/11/19/e1dca7cc-d300-11e8-83d6-291fcead2ab1_story.html?fbclid=IwAR2nMZwdGgsRqKzrU3PlotwuB7T3RpA_GRBiOMsGGNz83E8movWThQ0WI_E&utm_term=.b09e87744e19
They are freezing the use of the death penalty, decriminalizing marijuana possession, diverting low-level offenders to classes and treatment instead of jail, seeking less severe sentences, and vowing to aggressively prosecute police-involved shootings.
In a field that is 95 percent white and overwhelmingly male, many are minorities, women or gays and hail from unlikely backgrounds, such as civil rights work or the public defenders office.
The push intensified in the midterm elections, with liberal groups including a political action committee funded by George Soros, the American Civil Liberties Union and a political action committee created by Black Lives Matter activist Shaun King contributing millions of dollars or resources to expand this still relatively small pool of progressive prosecutors. They had notable successes in Boston, Dallas and San Antonio, as well as in the race for Delaware attorney general, an office that handles criminal cases.
I smile when I see attacks on Soros. Soros is doing amazing work in electing a new generation of Distirct Attorneys who are not nut cases.

An energized Democratic electorate wasnt enough to defeat Texas Sen. Ted Cruz this month, but in the states most populous county, it created a blue landslide.
Nearly every Republican in Harris County, home to Houston, was unseated on Nov. 6, including 59 judges and the top executive, Ed Emmett, a moderate who won in 2014 with 83% of the vote.
Mr. Emmett, whose official title is county judge and who was widely lauded for steering the county through the devastation of Hurricane Harvey last year, lost to political novice Lina Hidalgo, a Democrat who said she has never previously attended a meeting of the Harris County Commissioners Court, which she will soon oversee. The 27-year-old won by less than 2 percentage points and will now help run a metro area that encompasses some 4.6 million people, the third-most-populous county in the U.S.
The Harris County election drew national attention in part because 17 African-American women, all Democrats, won judgeships, a symbolic shift for one of the nations most diverse cities. But it also demonstrates the growing political divide between more liberal cities and conservative rural areas that is evident even in red states like Texas, where every elected statewide official is a Republican.
