Tyranny doesn't start with invasions, bombings, or broken windows. It starts with things like "Four"

Michael Flynn, a right-wing conspiracy theorist who served as national security adviser to former President Donald Trump, spoke at a campaign rally Saturday for MAGA pastor Jackson Lahmeyer in Oklahoma, where he falsely claimed that “the word ‘Creator’ is in the Constitution four times.”

Flynn, who was a key player in so-called “Stop the Steal” campaign and continues to travel the country promoting the “Big Lie” that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from Trump, has endorsed Lahmeyer, a fellow right-wing conspiracy theorist, in his bid to unseat Sen. James Lankford in the Republican primary. On Saturday, he used his time at Lahmeyer’s campaign rally to deliver a rambling speech insisting that this nation is locked in “a spiritual war” against the likes of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi—who he called “a demon”—and therefore needs elected leaders like Lahmeyer who realize that the rights enshrined in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights come from God.

“Democracy is always a fragile type,” Flynn said. “You read the Federalist Papers, you read (the Founder’s) writings—because this is all about the people that we’re talking about tonight running for office, and others that are out there—you read all these things, you study the history of this country, you study how it was founded. That’s why the word ‘Creator’ is in the Constitution four times. ‘We are endowed by our Creator.'”

As a matter of fact, the word “Creator” appears zero times in the Constitution. The phrase “endowed by their Creator” actually appears in the Declaration of Independence.

Don't be afraid to say "hold up", "wait a sec", or "gonna need a citation on that one, chief"

Even if it looks weird. Even if people call you weird. Even if people release a storm of profanities on you.

Don't be afraid to be that person that holds up accountability to leaders, candidates, and elites when they say things that don't sound right or don't add up unless you want your country to be that country where it's now illegal to do so.

Ron Johnson: Repeal the Affordable Care Act!1! Meanwhile, health insurance execs are...

*Doing a slow dramatic walk to a vault door, putting in a secret code, and it opens with a hiss, revealing a room full of glass cases with fresh 'DENIED: pre-existing condition' stamps and boilerplate forms in them and...*

"Hey, it's not repealed... yet!"

"Oh... we were just trying it out."

*IF* Marjorie Taylor Greene is in the majority side this time next year, would it be fair to ask her

if she got in that majority fair and square? Is she in that majority legitimately? Does she know how she got in that majority?

Controversial Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) is still convinced the 2020 presidential election was rigged but admits she has no evidence of election fraud.

Greene admitted she had no proof during an interview Friday at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando, Florida, but is sticking with her conviction that the presidential vote was rigged, even though she apparently doesn’t dispute the 2020 election results that made her a congresswoman:

“I proudly objected on Jan. 6,” Greene said. “I would object again today because I know for a fact there was so much wrong in that election and I believe it was stolen. Do I know how? No, I don’t know how.”

If they get the majority, the GOP would put her "school shootings are hoaxes" self on the education committee as they tried to do earlier, but just because the pendulum supposedly swings the other way, why should all the unproven allegations and her being convinced elections were stolen just go away like she and the rest of them never said them?

"Are you on this committee fairly? Did you get this majority legitimately? How do you know you did?"

Republicans need to learn that their actions have consequences.

So if Republicans were to in fact win Congress in Nov, would it be absurd to question THEIR victory?

They spent all that time claiming the 2020 election was stolen... in fact, they're STILL claiming just that.

They spent all that time attacking the contest, the process, saying it was rigged.

Other than "who won" and changing the maps in their favor changing, what else changed?

All those times they said "Wait and see in two weeks"? Didn't materialize.

QAnon and the storm? Didn't happen.

All those firefights in Germany between US soldiers and Dominion voting systems and Antifa supersoldiers? Someone was trolling with that, right?

The Kraken? Ha.

Is Hillary still free and are Michael Flynn, Roger Stone, and Steve Bannon still criminals? Yes?

Has the "deep state" they ranted about been exposed and summarily executed yet? No?

So then how do we know the "Deep State" doesn't want a Republican victory? We don't, right?

So all the time, energy, effort, and embarrassment to our country that Republicans caused when they made such an effort to question, overturn, decertify, etc. Joe Biden's victory shouldn't just disappear into thin air if they were to win Congress in November. It SHOULD come back to haunt them. I think that's fair, don't you?

I just received word that something I said made Urban Dictionary

The post:

"I invaded a country and ended up tanking the economy and imploding my own military. I am so genius and savvy."

"Wow, that test was a total disaster. I should have been less genius and savvy about it and studied more."

From Donald Trump describing Putin as "genius" and "savvy"

The entry:

"genius AND savvy":

Something that is neither genius NOR savvy.

"He tried to invade another country and it ended up tanking his economy and imploding his army. Such a genius AND savvy move, right?"

"Genius and savvy": A phrase used to describe something that is not "genius" nor "savvy"

"I invaded a country and ended up tanking the economy and imploding my own military. I am so genius and savvy."

"Wow, that test was a total disaster. I should have been less genius and savvy about it and studied more."

From Donald Trump describing Putin as "genius" and "savvy" for invading Ukraine.

Yes, you have a dog in this fight

I can say with a very strong certainty that if Trump wants the Republican nomination, then he's going to get the Republican nomination.

And as for the general election? OF COURSE I hope and expect Biden to win, but... as 2016 told us, never say never.

Hope, pray if you pray, that Ukraine exhausts Russia. That at the end of this war, Ukraine's government still stands. That Ukraine is still Ukraine and not Russia's backyard.

Because:
-Trump, the one who may as well be "the second son of God" according to right-wing Evangelicals
-Republicans like Lauren Witzke identifying with Putin "because he's the Christian"
-Steve Bannon calling Ukraine a "concept" like how Russia isn't
-Alt-Righters praising "Daddy Putin", the "Czar of the New Russian Empire", etc.
-Freepers saying Putin "isn't woke"

They NEED to be wrong, they HAVE to be wrong.

We need something to shove in their faces, to hand around their necks, to brand them with... And say "No. You don't have the backing of God. No. You aren't superior. And no. You aren't more savvy and smarter than everyone else."

What better way to shoot down their claims than if they backed the wrong horse in this race?

Do us a favor, and just get it over with Trump-conservatives, just be honest with us AND yourselves

* Confederate traitors and slave owners were misunderstood good guys
* Segregationists telling us "race-mixing is communism" were misunderstood good guys and any deviation from that violates the CRT ban
* Neo-nazis ramming their cars into protests are misunderstood good guys
* Putin is the misunderstood good guy
* The QAnon movement on the same site where child pornographers are and where mass shooters post their manifestos are misunderstood good guys

Yeah, yeah...

So, why NOT just skip ahead a couple of chapters and you tell us ISIS and Al Qaeda are misunderstood good guys?

It's time WE make a stand: Either the GOP disavows the Q-wing or they aren't legitimate

* Call them a violent organization
* Declare them a gang, it's weird how juggalos are a "gang", but they aren't
* Proud Boys, 3%ers, QAnon, "white genocide" crackpots... Not welcome in mainstream politics. If you can only say it on a messageboard and to *wink-wink-nudging* it to your fellow Republicans, then maybe think about what you are saying
* Putin's not the good guy in the current situation, there is no "but..." here
* Michael Flynn, pathological liar. Say it.

If they can't do these simple tasks, then it's clearly past time for the governed to withdraw consent.

Help me out here: Weren't the Oath Keepers originally founded because they were convinced Obama

would go dictator and their whole shtick was "We're not going to obey any orders from a dictator"?

I mean, there really were conservatives tearing their hair out, biting their fingernails, and losing sleep at night because they thought Obama would force healthcare and gay marriage on them.

So it's just funny...

Skip ahead to 2021, they're salivating (And honestly, they were probably sexually aroused) at the idea of being government henchmen for a Trump coup.

There's a quote commonly misattributed to Abraham Lincoln, but it was said by Robert Ingersoll; abolitionist, lawyer, and orator. He said something to the effect that "If you want to measure a man's character, don't see what he does in the face of adversity, see what he does when he is given power."

The Oath Keepers failed that test, miserably.
