Unspoken in all this is that a viable Sanders means more legal jeopardy for Clinton

The pressure on the DOJ to take no action against "our only hope" nominee will be enormous. But if it become obvious that there's a definite lack of widespread enthusiasm for Secretary Clinton, and that in fact Senator Sanders will do a better job at the top of the ticket, then President Obama and Attorney General Lynch might be doing some thoughtful gazing out of their respective windows.

Those are part of the stakes for Secretary Clinton, imo.

The party is existing to perpetuate the party

That's fine and dandy when it's not its sole purpose. It can even be about electing its/the establishment's choice. But it can't ignore the needs and desires of the people and remain healthy and viable. The process is important, and if it looks and feels like a rip-off then the party can't come together in November.

I'm the King of the highway
I'm the Queen of the hop
You should see me
At the Governor's ball
Doing the rip-off bop

Video: AZ - Computer Shows Affiliation has been changed to NONE

https://vid.me/KKWP

Original Link: https://www.facebook.com/alisa.wolfe.39/videos/1031253743634071/ "OUTRIGHT VOTER FRAUD!! Okay Everyone! I posted earlier about my being denied my legal right to vote this morning. I went to the Pima County Recorders office and video taped the whole thing. Here's what they are doing. They are copying voter registration cards changing the date and the party preference. They can't change the original because that goes out to the party. At first she tried to say I sent in a second voter registration card (of course I didn't not) then she changes her story to its a computer glitch then states it's an error."

Edit: Now with youtube video.

Edit 2: This isn't my story, but rather that of a determined voter in AZ.

Bluto's Big Speech - Animal House

P.S. Stephen Furst, who played Flounder, went on to get a big role in Babylon 5, a JMS production. As I've posted before, JMS is supportive of Senator Sanders. https://twitter.com/straczynski/status/674833837185040385

But I'm reminded of the inspiring tale he had to tell, of a stranger who reached out to him to save his life.

Furst publicly credits J. Michael Straczynski's show "Babylon-5" with saving his life, because he is a longtime diabetic whose kidneys failed midway through the show. A fan who loved his portrayal of 'Vir' heard of his health problems and donated a kidney to save him from dialysis and a likely early demise.

Like Bluto, I'm not sure where I'm going with this, but I'm willing to say I'm not giving up on the Sanders campaign. We didn't give up "when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor", and as Stephen Furst's story shows, we live in a world with amazing people who will step to a noble purpose.

"... Greater than the death of flesh is the death of hope. The death of dreams. Against this peril we can never surrender. The future is all around us, waiting in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation ..."

My 2 cents (if it gets posted)

It's taking all the investment banking money, and all the party leadership, to prop Secretary Clinton up. On an even playing field with Senator Sanders she'd be toast. She's popular with the leadership because she pays back her friends, with power, influence, and money. For those leaving the game, there are jobs in the private sector. For her enemies there is payback. And like Bush the press is dealt with in a like manner. The Clintons have a list of those who cross them, and they limit their all important access. Those that gush on them are rewarded. People are seeing the flaws, and in states not under the thumb of leaders looking for favors, the voters are rising up for Sanders. That wave is spreading and it will engulf the later states. Clinton's legal problems, and the public spectacle of her ethical lapses, are becoming more serious, and much more well known. She holds Obama's legacy hostage, but that will only carry her so far with the DOJ against an FBI that has built a heck of a case against her subordinates for an incompetence that rises to a criminal level. And where does the buck stop with that? Can you run for President while claiming to be dazed and confused as to how security procedures work? The bottom line is that there is no appetite for a Secretary Clinton who has grown worse than the Senator Clinton of 2008. Especially so now that we have the Sanders campaign. She didn't kill that campaign in its cradle; now it's growing, and it won't be faced down.

Lol, had to trim the last paragraph own, I was running into the character limit. Could have used some grammatical editing but I felt an urgent desire to just post it. Lol, you know how that can be.

They'll be losing diarists, and eyeballs. It's community that makes sites like that very popular. It's just not that unique, or even an essential read. It's not a smart decision. I've seen popular sites fracture over infinitely more trivial issues. Console gaming vs. PC gaming, Quake 3 vs. UT, nVidia vs. 3dfx/AMD.

People bail on sites because of bias over their games, and toys. Telling them to ditch espousing their political beliefs, and speaking aggressively for their candidate? Wow, that's so not going to be a success.

P.S. The following image has been known to cause an uproar to the point of moderators having to step in. lol. And even on sites dominated by well off/white collar, well educated, adults.

About

The Glorious PC Gaming Master Race is a facetious label used to attribute superiority to those who prefer to play video games on a personal computer (PC). Conversely, those who prefer to play games on a console are sarcastically referred to as “dirty console peasants.” Although initially used in the context of PC vs. console debates, this mocking phrase has since spawned a number of derivatives to criticize elitist sentiments that are prevalent in other subcultures.
Origin

On January 23rd, 2008, online video game magazine The Escapist[2] published a review episode of the PC game The Witcher[1] as part of their review series “Zero Punctuation.”[3] In the video, the narrator quips how The Witcher’s complex structure makes the gaming experience optimized for PC users so that “those dirty console playing peasants don’t ruin it for the glorious PC gaming master race.” Within six years, the episode gathered over 400 comments and 650 Facebook likes on the Escapist website.

It really is a thing that causes an uproar. I don't see Daily Kos as being immune to this effect.

Ha! Put supporters of political candidates, during the primaries, at the far right of the scale.
