Yeah

it's sort of amazing (in depressing sort of way) that McCain received a ton of ridicule and scorn (and partly lost his bid for the WH) for nominating Palin for VP because of how ignorant and crazy she seemed and how dangerous it seemed-at the time- for her to be "a heartbeat away from the Presidency of the US" but now we actually have a person for PRESIDENT who pretty much exceeds Palin in terms of gross incompetence, stupidity, and cluelessness. Of course, like with 2008, there were plenty of Republicans- despite the feigned outrage and disgust of some- whom still gladly lined up to cast their votes for Trump because they apparently decided they wanted an grossly unqualified avowed sexual predator with no sense of decency or empathy as the leader of the free world over...........Hillary Clinton.

Nope

I didn't know who he was and I'm utterly clueless about how he and his scandalous behavior is being "Trumped up" by the RW and some of the media (esp. CNN) to attack prominent Democrats like Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama for not denouncing him quick enough (as though that is naturally expected of them as current private citizens), as well as to provide some bizarre false equivalency between the GOP's support and enabling of well-known sexual predator and CURRENT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and the Democrats' past receipt of campaign contributions from Weinstein, a now disgraced member of the Hollywood establishment whom the Democrats never ran or supported for President (and probably didn't know particularly well enough to know that he's a scumbag and sexual predator). This whole situation is simply mind-blowing. And it's not even the most pressing problem for our country!

Meanwhile.......

9 million children set to lose health insurance due to Congressional "Pro-Life" Republican neglect leading to expiration of CHIP.

Boy

His comments about Puerto Rico and, more alarmingly, North Korea have fallen down the "memory" hole pretty darned quick, haven't they? Now, CNN is onto the next thing to try to "normalize" Trump and make him "Presidential". WTF is wrong with them???

Given that Single Payer has not been adopted in a single state yet (including VERMONT)

I think that it's fair at least to say that there are still some kinks that need to be ironed out first. And I think that the ultimate goal is the same (a more affordable, universal accessible system) with everybody (but Republicans), but some people have completely legitimate differences in strategy about how we get there. Sanders seems to prefer the hammer and nail approach and getting a SP system in place in one fell swoop. Others prefer a more gradual strategy (i.e. adding a Public Option to ACA), which I happen to believe is a more practical and realistic approach to moving in the direction of a SP system. I don't think it's fair to automatically assume that just because some of us might think we should go about things a different way, it doesn't make us "concern trolls".

And what might that agenda be?

The Democratic Party has put forth several different proposals over the years to deal with both things, but they either don't have the power to enact them or Republicans keep blocking them. In order to appease Bernie supporters and help promote Democratic unity, the DNC put together its most far-ranging progressive platform to date but we still lost to Trump/GOP. Do we need to literally hit these Trump voters over the head with it to get them to vote for us?

How most Republicans manage to get elected I'll never understand.

How voters think them qualified/competent over most Democratic candidates is also baffling. It seems like smearing others and ginning up the fear (and then rigging the system to keep challengers at a disadvantage) seem to pretty much be their keys to victory.

Definitely

I'm trying to get over the last election but keep finding it hard every time Trump/GOP overturn or gut another Obama policy. So far, he's gone after Muslims, Trans people, Dreamers, and openly coddled Nazis and White Supremacists and pardoned a racist sheriff. Every time he does something embarrassing or horrific, it just reopens the scabs left over from last Election. I don't blame just Bernie and/or some of his extremist anti-Hillary supporters for Hillary losing but I can't stop being angry at everything and everybody whom contributed to Trump's victory.

Depends on the makeup of Congress after the next two Congressional elections

I certainly wouldn't hold it against her if she can't get done in 2021. Getting her or another Medicare-for-all supporter elected President will mean squat for actual passage if he/she doesn't have a majority Democratic House and filibuster-proof Democratic Senate to get it through- and that's ASSUMING that there won't be a few reluctant Democrats to contend with. Let's just make sure we all keep voting for progressive candidates in every election at every level and it might just happen but please, for crying out loud, let's not abandon her if she doesn't get it done immediately, especially if she doesn't have the numbers in Congress if and when she gets elected President.

Not surprising

CPCs are "good" at one thing and one thing only: Keeping (some) women away from making informed decisions about their unplanned pregnancies. Their Republican benefactors- despite their apparent desire to see children born instead of aborted- are not only preventing poor and young pregnant from getting good counseling and care through Planned Parenthood are also seeing to it that the financial and material supports that they might need in order to safely and appropriately care for the children once they actually have their babies are slowly eviscerated.
