Once again the "The Party of Personal Responsibility"

Taking NONE of it. BTW the Republicans have barely tried to speak to Obama about anything for 8 years and basically told him to go f**k himself when he tried to fill the latest SCOTUS vacancy for the past 7-8 months. Let me take this opportunity to NOT care what McTurtle has to say and I certainly don't blame Obama for not wanting to either.

Uhhh.....WTF?

Obama vetoed it and the REPUBLICAN-CONTROLLED Congress overrode the veto. If they had some concerns, why didn't they fix it instead of making it law and then expressing concerns about it? Oh yeah, they're worthless.

And don't forget

You could have a beer with Bush (who, as a recovering alcoholic, shouldn't be drinking anyway, but that's beside the point)

Come to think of it, though, Bush basically was "drunk" at the wheel for eight years and ended up wrecking the family car. Even though we got a new driver, Republicans have made sure that we can't fix that battered car up too good, however.

Why do Republicans

think that every attack is some kind of "positive" for them, politically, especially since 3000 people died in one attack under THEIR last watch (and they killed another 4000 American soldiers for their war of choice in Iraq in response to 9/11/01)? After George W. Bush/Cheney, why would ANYBODY want to have Republicans responding to terrorism? It's sickening that Republicans are practically hoping for terrorist attacks over here (or against Americans) to get their guy into the WH. Weird, sick s**t happens all of the time but that's not a reason to pull a lever for the Republican candidate, especially one as crazy and potentially dangerous as Trump.

We can only hope.

I remember how Romney immediately jumped in to politicize Benghazi in 2012 and how that didn't work out well for him. I figured that Trump would immediately jump in front of the cameras about this and I was not mistaken.

This election seems to be getting treated a lot like 2000

Sane, stable, intelligent Democrat getting bashed endlessly while MSM props up and promotes brash, incurious, and disaster-waiting-to-happen Republican who happens to be "new" and "exciting" for the MSM to cover. I only hope that history doesn't COMPLETELY repeat itself.

It would be amusing to see that happen

But nobody really has the time or energy to do that, honestly. However, sometimes, the only way to make somebody sick of something is to expose it over and over again and really rub it in. Of course, if people didn't voraciously consume tabloid journalism, this would probably be a non-story.

Sadly, I have to agree for the most part

The Republican Party in general, however, appeals to a lot of the same kind of people, just not quite as blatantly as Trump's campaign does. Unfortunately, the GOP base finally got "their" preferred candidate nominated this year.

The press IS dying to take her down

but I still think that there's a fine line between being transparent about obviously important things as a Presidential candidate and other more mundane things. Trump and the press seem to be pressing (pun intended) the idea that Hillary has some horrible illness that she isn't being transparent about, presumably for fear of being disqualified for being POTUS (they wish) and they seem hell bent on getting her to release tons of private health information that nobody should be entitled to just so that she can prove to everybody that she is healthy enough to be POTUS. Of course, what they will REALLY do with any information that she provides is leak it all over the place and comb over it for potentially embarrassing details. In many ways, this really reminds me of the Obama Birth Certificate (coincidentally pushed hard by Trump in 2012) where, despite repeated denials by President Obama and tons of elected officials, including Republicans whom would have had no interest in covering up for him, the press wouldn't let the issue die until President Obama released his long form Birth Certificate, despite the fact that no other President in the history of our country has been subjected to such scrutiny over the location of his birth. They tried a similar gambit with his college transcripts but that didn't go anywhere. Now, they are going after Hillary about her health, despite the lack of any substantive evidence that anything is seriously wrong. IMHO she should resist the impulse to give the vultures more to pick at unless she has a really seriously debilitating disease but, logically, if she did have something debilitating, do people believe that she is so craven and power hungry that she would be running for POTUS if she were dying instead of spending her remaining time with friends or family? Or, better yet, does it even matter? If she were to die in office, she has a Vice President to succeed her, so what's the big deal anyway? Is her (maybe) being seriously ill really a reason to vote for Trump- despite the questionable nature of HIS supplied doctor statement? TBH I would vote for her even if she came out and told us that she had a debilitating illness because, by all appearances, she still can do a lot of good, including keeping Trump out of the WH and I would feel plenty comfortable with Kaine as POTUS if need be.
