Well, if it was good enough for him when he was a kid.......

oh, wait a min........

They have credibility

because the media gives it to people like Cheney, Palin, Romney, et. al.

August 25, 2015

Amen

The Fox alternate reality that they seem to promote every day is quite the scary place to live. So glad that I don't live in it. Things aren't perfect but Fox hosts and their Republican minions are quite simply delusional about the way things really are in this country/world.

Any Democrat who makes it through the primary

stands a helluva lot better chance of winning against the current Republican field. In fact, I'm not even sure how we could lose with our 2012 Democratic "firewall" intact unless people just really feel like voting for a Republican next year- or somebody extremely charismatic (and moderate) pulls out of the GOP primary. It could happen, of course (so can a lot of other things), but isn't bloody likely IMHO.

As for Hillary specifically, once the media gets bored with this latest "chew toy", people will likely forget about it. It's probably a good thing that this is all being talked about now since most people have yet to really start paying attention to the primaries. Also, outside of most circles, an e-mail "scandal" just doesn't seem nearly as exciting as her and Obama issuing "stand down" orders and leaving Ambassadors to die in Benghazi (if you believe all of those zany conspiracy theories). I don't know what circles you run in but I just don't hear about it from anybody I know.

I liked the choice personally

I thought he would complement Obama well with some experience/blue collar appeal. I sort of thought Hillary would have been a good choice too since she was so close to winning the nomination but being SOS was probably better in that it put her in the cabinet without being tied to closely to Obama if she ever decided to run again.

Don't forget

At least one state (Alabama) appoints lawyers for fetuses now.

August 21, 2015

Hopefully

We will show up in droves to vote against the Republican clownwreck (and, in some cases, actually for our nominee)

August 20, 2015

Whaaaaat?

I think that a million irony/hypocrisy meters just screamed in terror- and were suddenly silenced...........

August 20, 2015

You speak as though all that exposure helps them

I'd probably argue the contrary. Probably should wait until the talking heads are good and disgusted with the GOP clownwreck so that they can be reminded of what intelligent grown up debate looks like.

Says who?

That's quite a bold pronouncement- to personally disqualify a candidate you don't happen to like.
