Just a matter of time

Before they pick another losing fight. They need to let go of this delusion that President Obama is going to voluntarily undo his signature policies- or that Dems are going to vote en masse to make him. They have to accept the reality (ha ha) that they are just as stuck as Dems are with not being able to do much other than nibble around the edges unless they plan to start trying to work with President Obama. They're clearly NOT going to, so there is really not much for them to actually do for at least the next 2 years except put on one disastrous show for their base after the other. It's going to be really high drama if SCOTUS guts subsidies for several states.

That, and that whole thing where, even though they have the majority, they won't be able to get a repeal through the Senate and, even if they were able to do so, President Obama won't sign it, so they're stuck with it until or unless they have a Republican Congress and WH (2017 AT THE EARLIEST). The Republicans are seriously delusional if they think that President Obama and the Democrats are going to VOLUNTARILY sign away their signature accomplishment, especially when it is producing positive results for a lot of people.

Furthermore

It's not as if poor people can afford to buy "healthy" food. However, usually, the "concern" tends to be that people on Food Stamps are getting Steak and Crab and eating better than the rest of us hard-working stiffs (see Reagan's Cadillac welfare queens)

Can somebody please buy these guys (and, presumably some gals) a freakin' clue?

How do they not realize who (mostly) runs the GOP nowadays and their position on GLBT equality? There are a *small* handful of Republicans whom are GLBT-friendly but none of them are in leadership roles and none of them will be writing the platform. Are a few tax breaks REALLY worth belonging to a party that will take their votes, but hate them and will not only ignore their needs (and basic humanity) but actively work against them. *SMH*

I think that we, the American public, are ENTITLED to know exactly how all of our candidates, but especially Presidential candidates, intend to manage our foreign policy once elected.

Well, I guess it's better that she acknowledged upfront that she is a bigot (and has no desire/interest in growing and changing her bigoted beliefs) but such considerations shouldn't even come into play when practicing medicine. I work in the Social Work field and if people can't tolerate working with certain groups of people, they are discouraged from even moving forward in their education in the field. Hopefully, she (somehow) gets blacklisted. Who knows what other kind of people she "objects" to on religious grounds? It seems like legislatures pushing "right to discriminate" measures are, predictably, helping embolden people to do stuff like this. Not really surprised that now we're starting to see stuff like this.

If she were a Republican AG nominee, I would think that they'd practically applaud her (and/or maybe criticize her for doing *too much*). They only care about what big business does in its spare time as much as they do about income inequality insofar as to how they think it hurts Democrats (whom have been the only ones worried about these problems and trying to do things about them) politically.
