Supporting regime change

And actually doing it can be too very different things. Bill Clinton supported regime change in Iraq and bombed Iraq a few times but didn't invade. I don't know if our support of the rebels in Libya was a great idea in retrospect but I thought we were playing more of a support role rather than unilaterally overthrowing Ghaddafi? Is HRC advocating invasion of some country for the purpose of regime change?

Exactly what I was wondering

I'm not glued to DU or the news 24-7-365 but this is the first I've heard of it. The primaries haven't even started, which would make any such effort- if it even exists- pretty idiotic. On a related note, I have seen many BS supporters seem certain beyond a doubt that HRC will doom our chances to win the WH next year when arguing for voting for Bernie.

I don't know how much of a tradition it currently is

but I never asked my father-in-law and I don't expect anybody to ask me "permission" for my daughter if and when she plans to get married. Very anachronistic and sexist IMHO.

What's with the defeatism?

Did the 2016 election already happen yet-and we lost?

People will be plenty enthusiastic about Hillary (if she wins the nomination)

once she is matched up against the eventual Republican nominee IMHO. Some people here seem to quick to assume that these poll results mean anything terribly significant this far out. We're still a few months before we even know for sure whom the nominees for each party will be and very few people are paying attention. Democratic voters will make their wishes plainly known in the primaries.

Slow down

I don't think they're going to win in 2016- not with this bunch. But never say never. I thought that Gore would easily win in 2000 (I know he technically won but he didn't get to take the office) and I thought that W would be a one-term POTUS.

Who are we exactly to judge this?

She is not harming anybody and broken no laws that anybody knows of.
As for all of the moral judgements about her parenthood, that's a matter between her and her ex-spouse and children. I thought we were supposed to be a more progressive community.

I enjoy reading Politicus

but some of their headlines are overly bombastic- and being more popular than the current Republican candidates is a pretty low bar to clear IMHO.

We really need to see some primary wins

before we can make any real sense about the state of the race. Polling and endorsements are currently with HRC and, frankly, I believe that she is the more well-rounded and stronger candidate with lots of experience and comprehensive knowledge of politics and world affairs. Bernie is a scrappy populist who says the right things and is able to connect with people and has some good policy ideas whom would probably make a great cabinet official but I don't see him as having the wide-ranging knowledge and experience that Hillary does. I know that he's been a Rep and now a Senator for many years but he just doesn't seem to have the kind of gravitas that we need as POTUS. I will, however, gladly throw my support to Bernie in the GE if he wins the nomination.

Many of them flat out talk crazy

Granted, there some left-wing actors/actresses that say some crazy stuff that makes me cringe too. Some actors/actresses are just not very bright people in general.
