Who's going to be left running the Federal Government if this madness continues? Is there a certain point where *somebody* has to step in and say enough is enough and take control of the government to ensure that it still minimally functions?
If there was a better reason
that she is an "anchor" on any candidate, I might agree with you (i.e. morally or ethically compromised). I don't believe that Pelosi has done anything to justify being abandoned/disavowed other than being the bane of Republicans' existence. They don't have Hillary or Obama to use as a punching bag or boogyman (or woman) anymore (at least they are no longer imminent threats to them), so they keep on focusing on Pelosi. The thing is that she's done nothing morally or ethically wrong and we should not be doing the Republicans' dirty work for them.
IKR? If TRAINED LEOs can't handle guns safely
how in the hell are we going to trust even lesser-trained individuals with guns? TrumpNRA are clueless idiots for suggesting this amazingly stupid idea.
She's not qualified and (most of us) already knew it
but Republicans went and confirmed her anyway- even (if I remember correctly) having to get Pence out there to break a tie in the Republican-controlled Senate. She needs to go- but will just get replaced by somebody just as bad/ignorant. The only thing that will probably change is that she will refuse to go on any media outlet other than Fox in the future.
Ignore it?
It seems like they are hell bent on wrapping up (what that means in their heads, anyway) the Russia Investigation as they truly believe it's a big nothingburger to begin with- and Democratic Party-Hillary-Obama-"Deep State"-Mueller-FBI conspiracy to bring down Donald Trump. There is a little more "sobriety" about the whole thing in the Senate among Republicans, though there's little doubt in my mind that Republicans just want the whole thing to go away.
Was there even this much news back during the "W" years
outside of the period of time surrounding 9/11?
Clinton years (when there wasn't some manufactured right-wing "Clinton scandal" anyway)? Bush I years? News seemed almost boring by comparison back during those halcyon days.
I feel liked we've lived four years in just the past year. I think we need to start redefining units of time in terms of "Trump Time".
I sometimes wonder
if they aren't at least a little sad that they don't have Hillary Clinton as POTUS to knock around for 4-8 years and have to desperately think of new ways every hour of every day to defend or distract their followers from the flaming dumpster fire that IS in the WH. Of course, it sounds like it doesn't matter. They're doing it anyway.
