The same can be said
of some of the pro-Bernie/anti-Hillary posts here too. We all *should* be able to respect each other's choices without flinging mud at each other/being disrespectful.

Pretty much sums it up. I'm glad that Republicans are finally being honest that BENGHAZI! was hyper-inflated to defeat Clinton in 2016 (though I'm sure that they were hopeful that maybe they might have been able to defeat Obama in 2012 with it as well. I still remember that creepy look on Romney's face right after it all happened).

Beyond that, I just don't get it. More people than not identify as Christian (of one denomination or another) in this country, most politicians identify as "Christian" and Christians seem to enjoy greater deference and protections in terms of their religious beliefs/sensibilities than any other religion in this country. If the Christians complaining about persecution really truly understood what Christians are experiencing in some countries like North Korea, I think that they might change their tune. What I think that some of them really can't seem to handle and hate is being forced to live in a pluralistic society where not everybody is like them and won't pander to their every whim or conform to their beliefs/lifestyle.

All of the things you mentioned. What I never got was how Republicans were so particularly eager to exploit 9/11 as though it were some "achievement" and profit off of it politically yet totally gloss over the fact that 3000 people died as a result of, at the very least, Bush's lack of concern over the impending attack. And the same people didn't care that, despite the absence of WMD in Iraq, 4000 soldiers died needlessly there as well. If all that wasn't enough, a major US city drowned and his (mis-)Administration's incompetence doomed even more people. He kept us safe?

Are you agreeing that Bernie can't get elected/deliver more Democratic votes- because most Bernie supporters believe that he is the only one who can- and basically the only hope for our country in 2016?

and when Glenda Ritz won the Superintendent of Education office in 2012 (sort of unexpectedly), Pence and the massively GOP legislature basically took away most of her power. Democrats had a pretty good run of things government wise between the successive Bayh/O'Bannon Administrations from the 1990's until about 2004 when Frank O'Bannon passed away and it's been downhill for the Democratic Party ever since. We have basically been wiped out in the Legislature to where the GOP supermajority can do whatever they (and Pence) want and they hold most of our Congressional seats (though we hold one Senate seat due to a ridiculously bad GOP candidate who knocked out the more solid Richard Lugar in the primary in 2012). I'm hoping that Pence's missteps over RFRA this year will enable Democrat John Gregg (who very narrowly lost to Pence in 2012) to take the Governor's office next year. *fingers crossed*
Judging by at least some of the posts here
it seems like there are a few. Won't do anybody any good, however, nor the country. Republican voters will mindlessly vote for whatever creature emerges from their primaries and virtually guarantee them around at least 40-something percent of the vote. Enough of a reason to vote for the Democratic Presidential candidate no matter how DLC-ish or Third Way-ish he/she is. I'm supporting HRC in the primaries but there is NO doubt in my mind whatsoever that I would vote for Bernie in a heartbeat if he were the Democratic nominee. Given what we have seen over the past decade plus, should there even be any doubt as to which party is at least sort-of trying to help make things better for the country?
