The incredibly sad state of America

The Rude Pundit has an excellent post contrasting the life of some of America's poorest with that of the Romney's:

But the idea that really makes me sad and ill is that that Kentucky county's voters will almost certainly vote for Romney because "he's more like them". And I have no hope that they will ever wake up from their delusion.

George Zimmerman’s lawyer: Sorry for my client saying sorry for Trayvon Martin’s death

George Zimmerman’s lawyer offered up an apology for his client’s apology at his bond hearing on Friday.

Mark O’Mara told “CBS’ This Morning” on Monday that if he’d known it would upset Trayvon Martin’s family, he would not have allowed his client to offer up the mea culpa for the shooting death of their teenage child.

“I wanted to say I am sorry for the loss of your son,” Zimmerman said Friday.

The Martins’ attorney, Benjamin Crump, accused Zimmerman at a press conferene after the hearing of trying to pander to the court with the apology, which he described as “insincere.”

“The apology was somewhat of a surprise because we had told them this was not the appropriate time, but they just disregarded that,” he said.

George H.W. Bush Hasn't Seen Anyone From His Secret Service Detail In Years

HOUSTON—President George H.W. Bush realized Tuesday it had been several years since he had seen any members of the Secret Service detail that was assigned to protect him for the rest of his life. "I remember Barbara and I were eating at a diner when [Secret Service agent] Carl [Palmer] came up to the table and told me he had to duck out for a second, but I should call if anything came up," said the visibly saddened 41st president, adding that he could recall a "bright" and "lively" time when he was shuttled from location to location and there were Secret Service agents around him constantly. "Well, I haven't seen Carl since. I guess you eventually just get to an age where no one sees you as a target anymore." Later that evening, President Bush died quietly in his sleep.

Jebus they're still at it

Obama officially ineligible

Jeffrey Phelps
Denver Conspiracy Examiner

A crushing situation is emerging for, not only Barack Obama, but also for the American people as a landmark statement has been made by the Obama administration that is going to turn the entire 2012 Presidential race and potentially much more on its head.

Lawyers representing the current sitting President of the United States of America have been forced, under penalty of perjury, to admit that the long-form birth certificate presented by the White House in April of 2011 is a total forgery.

In a NJ ballot access eligibility case spawned by Tea Party activists, attorneys representing Obama had to admit the document presented to the American people by Obama himself is actually knowingly faked and was used to fool the American public into believing a complete fabrication.

What could be the most shocking aspect of the situation, however, may be the fact that Obama and his attorneys have crafted an argument that truly boggles the mind.
