FCC chair dances with Pizzagate proponent in video promoting net neutrality repeal

Federal Communications Commission Chairman Ajit Pai appeared Wednesday in a video promoting his impending net neutrality repeal, dancing with a woman who has a history of promoting the so-called "Pizzagate" conspiracy.

The baseless Pizzagate conspiracy theory, which proliferated during the final days of the 2016 presidential race, posits without evidence that high-ranking Democrats were involved in a nonexistent pedophile ring based out of a Washington, D.C. pizzeria. In December 2016, a man motivated by the conspiracy theory fired a gun in the business.

The video, produced by the conservative Daily Caller, features Pai insisting that the FCC's impending, highly criticized repeal of net neutrality will not affect what users can do online.

In one clip, Pai is seen dancing alongside Martina Markota, a video producer for The Daily Caller.

Report: Rep. Dan Johnson commits suicide

MOUNT WASHINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Kentucky State Representative Dan Johnson, who was under investigation for alleged sexual molestation, has committed suicide, according to a report from WDRB in Louisville.

Bullitt County Sheriff Donnie Tinnell said Johnson killed himself on a bridge on Greenwell Ford Road in Mt. Washington, and the gun was recovered.

On Tuesday, Johnson said that he had no intention of resigning his seat.

Republican Sen. Bob Corker (Tenn.), a frequent critic of President Trump, on Wednesday reportedly celebrated the defeat of GOP Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore in the state's special election.

NBC News's Frank Thorp reported that Corker called Moore's election night defeat "a great night for America" after being asked about the race by reporters.
