n2doc's JournalReports: Highly Contagious Dog Flu Spreading Across The U.S.
DETROIT (WWJ) Reports from across the U.S. say the highly contagious dog influenza virus is spreading nationwide for the first time in years.
This season, dog flu has turned up everywhere from California to Washington to Pennsylvania and recently into Canada, according to Newsweek. One San Francisco clinic saw 50 cases in just two weeks, reports say, and the virus is spreading to areas that havent seen an outbreak in several years, if ever.
Earlier this month, Fox News reported that two different strains of dog flu had been confirmed in at least 46 states; but thus far this year, officials have not confirmed an outbreak of cases of dog flu in Michigan. (Amid a Midwest outbreak in 2015, three cases of canine flu were confirmed in Michigan, including one in Macomb County and two in Kent County).
According to Michigan State University Veterinarian Thomas Mullaney, symptoms of dog flu include lack of appetite, lethargy, cough and fever. The viral infection is spread through barking, coughing, and sneezing when pets are in close contact with infected animals. It often spreads through kennels, dog shelters, groomers, and doggy day care centers.

Somebody to root against in the Australian Open- RWNJ Tennys Sandgren
Before the Australian Open, not many in Australia would have heard about the aptly-named American tennis player Tennys Sandgren.
Now that the underdog has reached an unprecedented spot in the Australian Open quarter-finals beating Austrian eighth seed Dominic Thiem to get there Sandgren is experiencing far more spotlight on his career, as well as his social media activity.
And several of his tweets have now raised questions over his political views, after he argued over the Pizzagate conspiracy and mused over former US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and her supposed involvement in alleged satanic rituals.
Sandgren also recently retweeted white nationalist Nicholas Fuentes who went along to the Charlottesville rally in 2017 and follows a host of right-wing figures on Twitter.

BOO
A white guy allegedly detonated 2 IEDs at a mall and the pro-Trump media shrugged
On Sunday evening, a man allegedly planted two improvised explosive devices (IEDs) at the Eagle Ridge Mall in Lake Wales, Florida. The police are looking for a person of interest in connection with the incident, but he remains on the loose Monday morning.
The device described in local reports as some type of flare inside of a PVC pipe that was wrapped in electrical tape caused an explosion near a loading dock. While nobody was injured, you might think that the detonation of IEDs at a shopping mall would be a significant story, especially among right-wing voices who are usually quick to politicize attempted acts of violence in public places.
Youd be wrong. On Monday morning, Breitbarts homepage featured a story about knife-wielding jihadist inmates who attacked a prison guard in France, but not a single word about the IEDs in Florida. A brief write-up was featured toward the bottom of Fox News homepage. President Trump reliably quick to politicize act of violence committed by Muslims, even when they happen overseas hasnt said anything about the incident as this is published.
What explains their relative silence? A clue can be found in CNNs description of the person of interest.

Women give Dems massive lead for 2018 as they abandon GOP in record numbers
Two days after millions of protesters participated in Womens March events all over the country, a new ABC News/Washington Post poll confirms just how the stunning the turn-away from the GOP and Donald Trump has become among women voters.
Asked which party they would vote for in the midterm elections, 64 percent of American women said they would pull the lever for a Democratic candidate, compared to just 29 percent for Republicans. That produces as stunning 35-point advantage for Democrats.
Last fall, when ABC and the Washington Post polled the same question, the gap stood at 15 points. So it has bulged 20 points in just two months.
By comparison, Republicans today enjoy a modest nine-point advantage among men voters.
