A trumper bought a gun because she fears how Democrats will react

”when trump is re-elected."

This woman is a nurse with a gentle personality, but she's a full blown trumper. She truly believes that she's in danger from Democrats.

Meanwhile, trump and his surrogates are the ones threatening extreme violence and retaliation on Democrats if we try to remove him.

I figured, if anything, trump's rhetoric would increase gun ownership on our side, but now I see that his language is actually a double dog whistle for his own supporters.

It'll be interesting (and a bit frightening) to observe this specific trumper's continued radicalization. She bought the gun. Now what?

Warren's post-debate interview on CNN: She's serious about MFA

After watching this interview, I believe her when she says she's sticking with Medicare for all. She was adamant about why she thinks MFA is best, even with all the hosts pressuring her to say otherwise.

I know there have been whispers that she will pivot to the center and adopt the public option approach. Full disclosure: I was hoping the whispers were true.

trump threatened Lindsey Graham to keep him in line?

Have you wondered why @LindseyGrahamSC has been defending @realDonaldTrump like his life depended on it? A friend in federal law enforcement told me about a certain threat @realDonaldTrump has made to Graham. It's personal. It's awful. And it's working very well.

Obviously, Don Winslow's friend could be talking out of his ass. But Graham's 360 is not normal. He even allowed trump to disparage his BFF, McCain, even after McCain's death. If it's true that trump threatened Graham, I wonder how many other Senators/ Congressmen trump has threatened? And what threat is so bad that Graham is willing to betray his country?

Would it affect your vote if Elizabeth Warren moved toward the Medicare and private option

approach to healthcare (aka Medicare for All who want it)?

I think the only thing that could potentially hold Sen Warren back from the nomination is her current stance on healthcare. I'm hoping that she's limiting the amount of details she gives out because she knows she will have to pivot more to the center when it's just her and Biden or Harris left on the field.

Right now, many people dismiss the idea of Medicare for all because it seems like an impossible suggestion.

But what if it's not impossible?

If it's not impossible, then people like me are forced to reevaluate our support because there are too many unanswered questions regarding the logistics of how Medicare for all would be implemented. The current system accounts for about 20% of our economy. That's not something that can be shut down overnight. What would happen to the people and businesses whose livelihoods are directly or indirectly tied into the private insurance industry in one way or another? It could be a really good thing or some people could end up worse off.

A lot of Biden's detractors wonder why so many people are sticking by him--they frantically bring up his gaffes, but Biden's detractors are not considering that perhaps some people take Bernie and Elizabeth at their word with regard to MFA, and they are simply trying to protect their healthcare and/or insurance related jobs, businesses, or investments.

I wouldn't be surprised if Mitch tossed Kavanaugh under the bus

Kav is rightwing, but he's not as rightwing as what Mitch and the ultra right were hoping for. MoscowMitch could toss Kav aside and try to get someone more rightwing appointed before trump is impeached.

The court’s new median justice is Kavanaugh, continuing a trend to the right

Last year, we wrote that Roberts would likely land at the ideological center of the court in Kennedy’s absence, and he did — but so did Kavanaugh, who voted in almost total lock-step with Roberts. In fact, Kavanaugh was actually slightly closer to the center than Roberts was, according to their Martin-Quinn scores, a prominent measure of judicial ideology calculated by scholars Lee Epstein and Andrew Martin of Washington University in St. Louis and Kevin Quinn of the University of Michigan using data from the Supreme Court Database. As the chart below shows, their scores were almost indistinguishable:

Blast from the past: Pelosi Tweet from last fall

https://twitter.com/TeamPelosi/status/1038447651015090176

"Your Saturday Reminder: Republicans in Washington *will not* hold Donald Trump accountable. He's their guy. We will."

On days like this, it's difficult to not feel frustrated. Acosta stood on that podium and basically said they didn't have enough to convict. That sounds very familiar. The bottom line is, letting a criminal go free--for any reason--doesn't age very well.

Buckle up, Elizabeth Warren! You're next!

I assume the relentless attacks on Biden are going to cause his support to collapse soon. Then Warren will be the frontrunner. I can already imagine what the attacks will be. Buckle up.

I wonder who will be the last one standing after we pick apart and attack everyone who is in 1st place.

If it's Bernie vs. trump, who will putin support?

The Mueller report concluded that Russia/putin wanted trump and Bernie. When trump won the gop nom and Hillary won the democratic nomination, they put all their energy behind trump. But what happens if it's trump vs Bernie? Isn't it entirely possible that putin will switch his support to Bernie, since trump is so toxic and ineffective? Meanwhile, Bernie has quietly and without any blowback voted in a way that is a lot more supportive of putin/Russia than his colleagues--for example, he's voted against the Magnitsky Act and Russian sanctions:

The Senate overwhelmingly voted Thursday to impose new sanctions on Russia, joining the House in approving the measure by veto-proof margins.

The vote on the bill — which would also add sanctions against North Korea and Iran — was 98-2, with only Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and Rand Paul, R-Ky., dissenting. The House passed the measure on Tuesday by 419-3. Read more: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/senate-joins-house-overwhelmingly-passing-new-russian-sanctions-n787291

Senate Democrats on Wednesday came up short in a vote to stop the Trump administration from easing sanctions on companies linked to Oleg Deripaska, a Russian billionaire with ties to Russia’s president, Vladimir Putin.

The only one to miss the vote was Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt. He was meeting with women who had accused his 2016 presidential campaign of sexual misconduct, his spokesman, Josh Miller-Lewis, told CNBC. Any thoughts? Is this concerning to anyone or are you happy to potentially have putin siding with the democrats next go 'round?
