just how crazy does he have to act before this nightmare ends?

does he have to start lighting fires in the white house before people get their heads out of their asses?

no, dems do not have the votes to impeach him.
but many dems have the secrets, and they are keeping them secret.

there comes a time to tell the truth, come hell or high water.
and the water is getting pretty deep here.

The Latest: Chicago May Day Event Draws 20,000 Marchers

A march toward downtown Chicago on May Day is taking up several city blocks, with organizers estimating an attendance of 20,000 people.

One of the participants is artist Brian Holmes, who says Monday's demonstration is the latest step in fighting policies issued by President Donald Trump. Holmes says he has participated in several marches, including a rally Saturday to protest Trump's agenda in rolling back environmental protections.

Many signs in the crowd call for an end to deportations. But advocates of several organizations are pushing for numerous causes, including workers' rights, environmental justice and a higher minimum wage.

dear content managers- twitter links

people- just putting a twitter button on your websites doesnt really work.
if you have the full links that work fine for other stuff, you will be way over 140 characters. you need to put a tiny url on that button.

you'd think anyone doing websites these days would know that, but no.

Man Skipped Out On $1,800 Trump Tower Bar Tab In Dine-N-Dash Spree: Charges

DOWNTOWN — A Georgia man was arrested three times in one week for allegedly running up big tabs at Downtown bars and then failing to pay, including an $1,800 bill at Trump Tower.

And he's still on the run.

Robert A. "Honey Bear" Heath, 30, of Canton, Georgia faces a felony theft charge over his alleged dine-and-dash spree that hit three Downtown bars last month, police said.

Heath was arrested for skipping out on an unpaid $1,839 tab March 10 at the Trump International Hotel & Tower, 401 N. Wabash Ave.

opinions on appliance brands, please.

need a kitchen for a rental i am rehabbing. stove, fridge and dishwasher.
last time i did this i had a bigger revenue stream to depend on.
also had to shop w the ex, who is a go big or go home kinda guy. this time around trying to be a little more sensible.

right now lowes has some good deals, but there is a big appliance joint here that always has good deals on bundles. even tho they all include a microwave hood, which i dont really need, but...
admit that if it was my kitchen, i would want that space saver option, but reluctant to guarantee a microwave to a tenant.

anyway, frigidaire and maytag have pretty reasonable prices. they tout their made in usa schtick, tho it is *designed, engineered, and assembled. iow, parts made in mexico, china, ??
want to support that, but hate to fall for the **

lg is also pretty good prices, and some smart design.

i used to be pretty loyal to kitchen aide, but i think they cut a lot more corners these days.

have had great luck w bosch, but reluctant to put that in a rental.

so, anybody done this dance lately? anyone have any opinions?

joy reid looking good today.

it bugs me the way women on the teevee machine get made up like models. if that is their thing, fine.
but it bugs me when they paint them up in ways you know is NOT their thing. i remember a night when rachel looked like someone on a playboy cover. just painted to the max. the next night it was toned down.
these days her make up is light, but that pink lipstick bugs me. we know she does not wear makeup irl.

joy is in lala today. i dont know if that has anything to do w it. but she is lightly made up and looks lovely to me. it drives me nuts when she has those giant fake eyelashes on. half the time they are not all the way glued on, peeling lose at the corners.
i just want to reach through the screen and pull them off.

sigh. someday we will all be people, eh?

mike quigley, d-5 il (chi), intel committee, money laundering a central part of investigation.

on cnn right now after returning from a trip to cyprus and ukraine.
rough quote- i cant reveal what i was told in private, but i will say that cyprus is where the russians launder their money, and money laundering is integral to our investigation.
people launder money to evade taxes and they launder money to evade sanctions.

i have been saying for a while that the root of the criminality here is money laundering.
that sanctions is a big part of the investigation, imho, points at the rosneft deal, and a deal to lift sanctions.
and aunt maxine keeps saying- it is all about the oil.

tom perez just said something that is music to my ears-

he said they were working w emerge.

http://www.emergeamerica.org

Emerge gives Democratic women who want to run for public office a unique opportunity. We are the only in-depth, seven-month, 70-hour, training program providing aspiring female leaders with cutting-edge tools and training to run for elected office and elevate themselves in our political system. We currently work in 18 states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin. Emerge America’s role is to serve the states where we work, open new state programs and build capacity to train more women in each of our current states. We provide our program’s alumnae with a strong, supportive network of women in politics, which includes a national association of Emerge alumnae, the Emerge board and advisory council members.

we should be bombing north korea

with food and medicine.
the people are starving.
dictators can only rule struggling, miserable people.

am i hopelessly naive to think that if we give the peace corp a fraction of the defense budget, we would have a different world?

free field guides from chicago's field museum.

CHICAGO — When Field Museum botanist Robin Foster started a program in the 1990s to make field guides identifying plants and animals of certain regions, he expected only a handful of people to contribute.

Instead, the Field Guides initiative has become one of Field Museum's most popular programs, with 766 guides overall, including 35 that focus on plants and animals of the Chicago area.
