my local dem unit, the 49th ward democratic party, is looking for a race or two in illinois.
there is nothing much for us to do here in the land of the uncontested race, the clown candidate, and the highest percentage of votes for obama of any congressional district.
my congresswoman, jan schakowsky likely has something all lined up for us.
but i thought i would ask here.
i don't see any reason why people wouldnt be welcome to post links for donations to their favorite candidates in this thread. show the muscle of the netroots.

how does this happen? my daughter was dx'd today w temporal lobe epilepsy.

she isnt having hallucination because she is crazy, same for the anxiety, the puking, the headaches, the pain.
yeah, they were all in her head. just not because her mother is evil. how about that.
but ffs. she had extensive neuro/psyche testing that came up with the ptsd dx.
how the hell could they have missed a serious case of epilepsy?
the best bad news ever, tho. omg. i was just so confused by the whole situation. i know shit happens sometimes that parents dont see, but her she was really a happy little kid.
she has physical stuff also, and has gone through a lot of things little kids shouldnt have to go through, and i always sorta put it on that. plus years of pain problems can really burn up a brain.
they are optimistic about treatment, and i think i am going to get my little girl back.

many people on du do not use ignore for a lot of good reasons. but i think that a one day visit to the land of 'i cant hear you' might be very useful in encouraging people to use this tool.
i ask that people turn forward, and focus on the good that is here. i would like to this post to be a silent thread of solidarity with the democratic party, and a turn forward toward november.
i request that people refrain from naming anyone that they are ignoring. or even how many. just a silent wish to move forward together.
i intend to alert on posts not in the spirit of silence and peace. i urge others to do the same.

in my ward here we have had several sign up days, and ofa volunteers have worked many more.

i do not think i am leaking any secrets to say that the admins are quite aware of who is being put on ignore.
i would like to propose that, just randomly, this friday, april 5, we all put the jerks on ignore for a day.
i understand completely why people do not do this on a regular basis here. edmund burke and all that.
but i think a little one day protest of the noise around here might just clarify some thing about this community.
feel free to start now, tho. i mean, enjoy a quiet week here, just to see how it feels.
