Instead, many of your brothers and sisters will be going to private prisons, enriching the 1%, and possibly get used as labor to build the Trump Wall, if they aren't killed first in some unexplained way. Many of the people that you may know as the downtrodden will no longer have food stamps to feed their kids or preventive healthcare to keep them from dying earlier than they needed to. Young children will have their dignity assaulted and their safety in jeopardy, and will never come out of the circumstances they were born into, no fault of their own.
So close your eyes at night, after having kissed your kids or your loved one good night and understand this; not only did you make a difference for the very worse in the lives of millions, you get to watch everybody, including the innocent suffer. As a political journalist, I hate empty conspiracy theories. I like to go where the bulk of the evidence is pointing. So even though I’m as shocked at Donald Trump’s victory over Hillary Clinton as anyone else, I have been unwilling to preemptively accuse the vote totals of having been rigged or altered. It’s taken me nine days of looking at the numbers and trends and patterns, but I’ve come to the conclusion that for once, the conspiracy theorists appear to have been right: this election looks rigged

My mother was raised during WWII in Paris, and remembers how a tyrant will attempt to appeal to various groups separately depending...in order to have the support of enough people, enough of the time. I don't want to discuss the story of my mother and her family here, only to say she lost three family members in the war at the hands of the Nazis! Despite the Republican onslaught against her, they couldn't find criminality. It is ridiculous on it's face because 13 similar attacks during the Bush administration was ignored. They didn't blame President Obama, or the Joint Chiefs, the CIA, the Department of Defense but Hillary Clinton alone. The truth was spilled when Kevin McCarthy admitted that the Benghazi Special Committee was used "to bring down her poll numbers." Jason Chaffetz admitted that Republicans on the Appropriations Committee cut security funding twice before the attack, despite the hundreds of pleas for additional security in Libya.
De-legitimize the President of the United States with false birther nonsense, obstruction and unconstitutional shirking of their duties.
Books were written and movies made to continue the character assassination of Hillary Clinton. They weren't based on facts but nonstop slander and conspiracy theories. They used dark social media marketing to perpetuate the worst lies and promoted division.
Alt Right white nationalists took over the Trump campaign and turned it into a bully pulpit. Their candidate showed a complete lack of discipline, so they turned him into a teleprompter reading puppet.
Befriend Vladimir Putin, despite his imperialism in Eastern Europe. Paul Manafort escaped without scrutiny despite his reported ties to Russia.
Divide Americans with racial profiling, immigrant bashing, enemy building via fear mongering. They convinced Americans that an enemy (ISIS), which has no air force, no navy, no missiles with no nuclear weapons, no aircraft carrier, no submarines or helicopters were an existential threat. ISIS was created by the indiscriminate bombing of innocents in Iraq. We can't kill innocent people without creating hatred. Terrorists were born out of revenge. Republicans didn't want to take away Iran's nuclear weapons program, they wanted to use force.
Republicans ignored the filthy history and divisive campaign from their champion. Every Republican on the Hill was sent detailed information about Trump's many crimes, including the rape of a 13 year old girl. They ignored and buried the truth.
Intimidate the electorate with demands to watch polling places. Threaten Hillary Clinton with jail. They didn't have any proof of criminality, but they used perception as reality. If you repeat a lie often enough it becomes reality.
Manipulate the media by attacking our free press to de-legitimize the truth. If you don't like the message, shoot the messenger. Americans believed a pathological liar over all legitimate news sources. The media built Trump while he was trying to destroy them. This is scary when you consider that the media has always been a part of making our elected officials accountable.
Transparency is not allowed. Hide his tax returns because they would prove what a crooked businessman he's always been. While Trump hid his crooked business practices, Russian hackers broke into the DNC and promised bombshell revelations about Hillary Clinton. All they proved was some rude comments by associates who thought they had privacy.
Use the FBI to collude with the Trump campaign and make public announcement that investigations were leading to indictments. None were coming, so the Director of the FBI released a vague accusation on a Friday afternoon, 11 days before the election. It was all lies.
Rig voting machines, create long lines in heavy Democratic precincts, suppress voter registration in the same communities and let lack of patience do the vote thinning.
How many of you actually believe that if Donald J Trump won the popular vote but lost the electoral college vote, that he would've accepted the results???
I've tried watching cable to get news...
But all I get is outrageous garbage!
In the mornings ( Pacific time ), after reading here and there a bit, I routinely bravely tune into the Cable news (CNN & MNSBC), for a few minutes to find out what they're all talking about.
I'm sorry to report that I haven't been able to watch cable news for longer than one minute on each of those two channels. Not only have they worked to normalize Donald Trump as someone actually worthy of the office of president, but now, it appears that Hillary Clinton will have to win this race despite them.
In other words, they are lying in our faces, and I am able to figure this out by not watching anymore than one minute of programming for cable channel each day.
The media is not our friend, and apparently they really don't give a shit about the truth. It is quite frightening!
Angela Davis: Voters “have one river to cross next month,” and that’s stopping Donald Trump.
Angela Davis may not be enamored with Republicans nor Democrats, but at the end of the day, she's not gonna walk around feeling self righteous by voting third party or not voting.....while depending on everybody else to do the right thing; voting Clinton.
She says there may be the need for a new party that is anti-racist, etc...but that isn't going to happen before election day, so She's voting for Hillary!
There are many young Black folks who are saying that they are simply not going to vote. I think if Angela Davis can vote for Hillary....they should seriously consider it!
