Ninga
Ninga's JournalI'm sending Merrick Garland a Christmas card. I will write a note asking about who can the American
people turn to in order to bring the organizers, funders, the former President and his inner circle, and Congressional supporters of Jan 6 to justice.
These questions qualify and clearly fall under the DOJ mission statement:
To enforce the law and defend the interests of the United States according to the law; to ensure public safety against threats foreign and domestic; to provide federal leadership in preventing and controlling crime; to seek just punishment for those guilty of unlawful behavior; and to ensure fair and impartial administration of justice for all Americans.

My take on Merrick Garland via The Pointer Sisters..,
The Internets are a swirling with where is the DOJ?
Try this:
'Cause I got a man with a slow hand
I've got a lover with an easy touch
I found somebody who will spend some time
Not come and go in a heated rush
I found somebody who will understand
I found a lover with a slow hand
I was on Mars for the last five years. When I landed, I was stunned to find the entire country
had been littered by hoarders. Garbage oozing from every corner, from school boards on up to the Supremes. Rotten spoiled food, empty fast food bags, boxes, papers, animal droppings, discarded broken parts to everything imaginable had risen to the top of my country. Decay everywhere. Never before found on airplanes or grocery stores, now, everywhere.
I am rolling up my sleeves, focusing on what my little self can accomplish, and will begin to scrub clean my corner in preparation of a final cleansing Nov 2022. I find myself working every day to filter out the filth, by training and staying focused. It is damn difficult.

Help me understand. If $9.5 Billion of Afghanistan's money has been frozen, is the Talban
stupid, are the confident they dont need it? Can we hold it up in perpetuity??
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-08-17/u-s-freezes-nearly-9-5-billion-afghanistan-central-bank-assets
The U.S. has frozen nearly $9.5 billion in assets belonging to the Afghan central bank and stopped shipments of cash to the nation as it tries to keep a Taliban-led government from accessing the money, an administration official confirmed Tuesday.
The official said that any central bank assets that the Afghan government has in the U.S. will not be available to the Taliban, which remains on the Treasury Departments sanctions designation list.
Ajmal Ahmady, acting head of Da Afghan Bank, the nations central bank, early Monday tweeted that he learned on Friday that shipments of dollars would stop as the U.S. tried to block any Taliban effort to gain access to the funds. DAB has $9.5 billion in assets, a sizeable portion of which is in accounts with the New York Federal Reserve and U.S.-based financial institutions.

Has anyone seen this covered in the mainstream media?
Im sick of the lazy reporting and misinformation.
Please note the date of the article. This effort began in APRIL. Its important.
ATLANTA U.S. military officials said they had removed some 60 planeloads of gear from Afghanistan and identified about 1,300 pieces of equipment for destruction by Tuesday as the Pentagon works to exit the country where American troops have been at war for nearly 20 years.
The drawdown effort to remove U.S. forces and the warfighting gear that they have spread across Afghanistan since invading in October 2001 was roughly 2% to 6% completed by Tuesday, U.S. Central Command said in a statement. The formal retrograde process began Saturday as the Pentagon works to remove more than 3,000 troops, thousands of U.S. contractors and their equipment by Sept. 11, the date that President Joe Biden decided he wanted all American forces to be out of the country.
Air Force C-17 cargo jets, which the service said can carry about 17,900 pounds of cargo, are running near around-the-clock missions to move military equipment out of Afghanistan in the Pentagons largest drawdown effort since it left Iraq in 2011, officials said. The CENTCOM statement on Tuesday indicated officials intended to provide regular updates on retrograde progress but would give only an estimated range of the completion for security reasons.

This is some of his advice to the Foreign Relations Committee. Some of whom are now Biden critics.
Snip.
On May 18, 2021, at a U.S. House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee hearing on U.S. policy in Afghanistan, Khalilzad downplayed the prospect of a swift Taliban takeover when U.S. forces leave saying, If they [Taliban] pursue, in my judgment, a military victory, it will result in a long war, because Afghan security forces will fight, other Afghans will fight, neighbors will come to support different forces. He later added at that same hearing, I personally believe that the statements that the [Afghan] forces will disintegrate, and the Talibs will take over in short order are mistaken. The real choices that the Afghans will face is between a long war and negotiated settlement.[35][36] Despite this statement, the 2021 Taliban offensive culminated in a swift Taliban takeover and the dissolution of the Afghan National Army.

In all the noise and words being spewed by talking heads, Lawrence O Donnell made sense to me,
and I could not dispute what he said.
(I dont know how to post videos)
Lawrence O'Donnell says no one knows how to run the American evacuation from Afghanistan without the same chaos and dishonor we experienced in Vietnam.

IRS 2020 Tax refund question.
Mr. Ninga filed our taxes electronically the end of March. We are due a refund and keep checking the Where's My Refund link and it always sez "pending".
Mr. Ninga had it up to his eyeballs and called the IRS at 8 AM today. He eventually got through nearly 1.5 hrs later.
The person checked and said Tax Return was processed and is now in the refund department. Mr. Ninga got transferred to said department and was on hold for an hour and 11 minutes when a human answered. The human said yep, due refund, but we have no idea when funds will be available to process, or in what order given the backlog.
So. Anyone else have this experience?
