Would you pay $150 to play with this?

DAVIE, Fla. - A man was mauled by a captive black leopard in a backyard zoo in South Florida, wildlife officials said.

The man paid $150 for a “full-contact experience" with the black leopard, which allowed him to “play with it, rub its belly and take pictures,” WPLG reported.

A report by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission says the incident happened Aug. 31 in Davie, which is near Fort Lauderdale.

The agency charged the owner with allowing full contact with an extremely dangerous animal and was cited for maintaining captive wildlife in an unsafe condition.

The owner runs a licensed animal sanctuary for rare and endangered animals at the home, WPLG reported.

The man was attacked as soon as he entered the leopard's enclosure. The injuries were so severe that his scalp was “hanging from his head and his right ear was torn in half," the report said.

He required multiple surgeries, according to the television station.

No link because I saw a quick tweet on my phone when Trump told a Republican Congresscritter...

his future would be destroyed because he didn't fall in line over the election bullshit.

Well, Mr. Trump, his future is OK for the next two years, but it seems yours is the one in trouble.

Mr. Trump-- the first decent thing you've said in four years, and you fucked it up...

After ignoring the problem for months and letting your stooge Mnuchin do the work, you come out and say 600 bucks is too little.

Well, it is too little, but you have now made even that amount more difficult to get.

It almost looks like that was the plan all along.

Trump casino demolition?

No link, just got a "newsbreak" on my phone.

And, yeah, I know he doesn't own it any more, but if it says "Trump" and I could blow it up, why not?

I believe this has been mentioned, but it bothers me that this shitshow over the election...

means that if ballots are thrown out,all of the ballot is thrown out, not just the presidential lines.

Right?

That means many House and Senate races would have to be run again, right? To say nothing of local races.

This sounds like a very bad novel.

BTW, Congress has the right to seat itself-- this means that each house has the right to not seat any asshole going along with this stupidity.

About trump pardoning himself...

Been reading about this with people who know a lot more about it than I do.

One school of thought is that he can because it's not specifically forbidden. This is a weak argument that ignores both originalist theory and other readings of the Constitution. It would be like a judge hearing a case against himself.

More common is the idea that a pardon is transitive- it must have a donor and a recipient, and donor and recipient cannot be the same person. Nixon thought of pardoning himself, and decided it would be too tricky and dangerous, and so Ford did the dirty job.

Since no President has ever tried it, should this one try it it would immediately hit the courts, and we can only guess how that would end. One fine mess while the courts play with it.

One thing that would not change is that presidential pardons are for federal crimes, so he would have to deal with several states prosecuting him, and who knows whether, say, the Governor of NY could pardon him, or would want to.
