An answer to this question may help convince those skeptical of Medicare for all.

One thing I have been wondering about and have yet to see addressed is; what happens to the money currently being contributed by employers to purchase health care for employees. I would think that this money if added to an employees paychecks would be a win win for both employers and workers. It would cut administrative costs, reduce issues in labor negotiations for those with union shops and increase pay for workers. It's complicated of course as I think it's unlikely that we can require companies to hand back these funds to employees. I know when I was working the cost of my employers share for my insurance was around $500 bucks a month. That's a good chunk of change to put in peoples pockets.

How are you all coping and How are you doing it?

Not a day goes by now that I'm not silently screaming multiple times every time I pay attention to the current state of our countries affairs. I find it have had to curtail my news intake as my body just can't take the anger and anxiety I feel every time Trumps face or voice appears. Feeling enraged is fricken exhausting. I'm trying to find other distractions but the news junkie in me keeps going back in for that fix even though it sickens me. My public school teachers taught me in the sixties that a good citizen is an informed citizen and old habits die hard. I send what money I can to blue candidate, call and write my Congressional offices and feel like I talk to others about these criminals in the White House incessantly. I am coping the best I can by watching Korean Dramas and being mindful to pay attention to other things. I no longer can keep the news on in the background or in the car. We are living in strange and dangerous times....and it just sucks.

How are you all doing?

I encourage you to take action if you support moving impeachment forward

As far as I can tell today only one of our states Congress-members supports Impeaching Trump, Pramilia Jayapal. If you like me live in a blue district it's easy to become complacent sometimes and assume our more Progressive reps are supporting impeachment. That is not the case. Many, like my rep DelBene are sitting on the fence and making no comment. This seems totally unacceptable to me considering the fact that their re-election is probably not a concern. They need to hear from us loudly and clearly that we expect them to uphold the Constitution and speak out about the Presidents unlawful behavior and what they intend to do about it. Today there is still nothing on DelBene's website about her position. This is Shameful

Gah....He's still babbling on....How's everyone coping?

So I turned him off and switched to the shopping channel and bought a fit bit. I'm old but I need to live long enough to see him in Prison.

Here is what I will accept to end this Debacle

Immediate resignation of Paul Ryan..to be replaced by Joe Biden or John Kerry as Speaker. The Speaker does not need to be a member of Congress per House Rules.

Upon the new House Leaders Swearing in...The immediate resignation of both Pence and 45.

New House Speaker sworn in as President --- Let them keep the Congress for now....

Given what we have been put through by this Republican led dismantling of our country's well being---This is letting them off easy and will save the Republic.

So which are the Republican who may start standing up to Trump first?

I know they are few and far between. Of course we have McCain and Graham already starting to make noise about Russia but I'm not sure if they are really taken seriously. Corker has grave concerns about repealing the ACA without a plan in place. He has some clout in this. Who else can we focus in on sending information and support to on these issues that could be open to influence?

The way I see it we are dependent upon them to help the process in slowing down at least the steamroller that seems to be heading through Congress and the White House.

Any other Instant Pot Users here? I just upgraded to the Blue tooth

I have been using one of the first generation models for years but have been wanting the new one for a while now. I have yogurt going as my first adventure. I usually make yogurt in a salton maker but the IP will let me make twice as much at a time now. I got a little annoyed with the blue tooth set up but think I have it linked now. Tomorrow I will try to write some scripts. Have you tried to sous vide? I understand that it can be tricky and wondered if any of you have had any luck with it....

So here's the irony with this for me...It's a tool that will help you cook more efficiently and often at a greater speed but I'm afraid my toy will just have me cooking double the amount of food because I have so much more time and now two instant pots.

Don't even get me started with cheesecake....
