Progressives Support Shoring Up ACA Before Tackling Medicare For All

Despite a large division in the Democratic party over the best health care solution ― single-payer or a continuation and possible expansion of something like Obamacare ― progressives in Congress appear to be in lockstep with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s priority of shoring up the ACA before tackling anything like Medicare for All.

“I’m happy to support any provision that strengthens the ACA and plug some of the gaps that we’re seeing, particularly as it’s under assault by the president,” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) told HuffPost on Wednesday. “I think it’s part of a longer-term vision, at least for me, towards guaranteeing ― truly guaranteeing ― health care for all Americans.”

BS Disses Dems at Debate..

"I get a little bit tired of Democrats afraid of big ideas," Sanders began. "Republicans are not afraid of big ideas. They could give a trillion dollars in tax breaks to billionaires and profitable corporations."

Has he read the DNC Platform and has he bothered to hear what the other 2020 Candidates are proposing!? Did he forget about the ACA that Passed! And, the Fascists have been trying for years to Delete from History?!

No one is "afraid", BS.. those are just your insulting words. So not impressed.

Recycling can be a good thing! Biden

has the invaluable experience and electability which is Priceless!

Safe journey, onetexan!

Pete said Democrats can't win by recycling candidates.

Good.. but, I don't like this

that someone reported Pete said..

I replied.. "Ouch for Pete.. we'll support President Obama's Vice President if we want to.. and he happens to be leading."

"Ouch" for Pete... We'll support President Obama's

Vice President if we want to.. and he happens to be leading.

July 30, 2019

Yes, the "electability factor.. " which

he wouldn't have without all those years of experience and qualifications of being President Obama's VP.. and his years of being in the Senate learning more invaluable insights and knowledge.. making friends!

He(Biden) can step in and become President.

Someone who is independent enough who can pushback and give me perspective and catch any blind spots I may have..

Somebody who in his heart cares about the American People and the American Dream and is willing to fight for them as hard as he can

So Good to hear about, highplainsdem!

The More the Merrier for Biden to reach Iowa's Democratic Voters! Peacetrain will be happy to see this!

So what he ran twice before? If you really want something you keep trying. And, the last time he ran he ended up being Vice President to President Obama.. which gave him invaluable experience for his 2020 run!

"Each and every one of these leaders are trusted voices in their communities and I am proud to have

earned their support,”

“Each and every one of these leaders are trusted voices in their communities and I am proud to have earned their support,” Biden said in a statement. “Their endorsements are crucial to this campaign. I look forward to standing alongside them and speaking with voters in their communities about rebuilding the backbone of our country – the middle class – and unifying America.”

The endorsements ― which include support from Democratic state Sens. Nancy King (Montgomery), Jim Rosapepe (Anne Arundel and Prince George’s), Bobby Zirkin (Baltimore County), Brian Feldman (Montgomery) and Ron Young (Frederick) ― were part of a slate of announcements Biden was making in states across the country.

Well said, Joe Biden!

Mahalo, highplainsdem!
