Question for the "knowledgeable about estate sales" people:
(I couldn’t think of a better way to phrase that…also, if this needs to be moved elsewhere, let me know.)
How does one find a reputable non-scammy non-sleazy-feeling company that runs estate sales? And are there any major “gotchas!” we need to watch for?
We have been put in charge of arranging an estate sale for a deceased relative…we can’t do it ourselves as we live out of state…and i dunno, they seem so…i just haven’t found one we trust to do a good job without ripping us off.
U.S. Proof Sets Question:
We recently inherited a “set” of Proof Sets (US Mint, untouched, unopened condition) from about 1970 - 2020…some years multiple sets.
I brought them to a local coin dealer who offered face value (except those special ones that had some silver in them). That doesn’t sound exactly right.
i don’t want to spend the next year parcelling them out on eBay just to get a couple extra bucks with a lot of aggravation.
i don’t want to have a crate of this stuff sitting in a closet.
What do you here with experience in these matters suggest?
