Aristus
Aristus's JournalQuestion about moon-landing deniers: Why is it so all-fire important to them to believe that we
never landed on the moon, and instead just faked the whole thing?
Why do so many of them devote their lives to spreading, believing, and defending such an absurd idea?
Just saw another one of them on Facebook, and it prompted me to ask.
Saturday, May 28th. The Weekend Edition of William Shakespeare's Thought For The Day.
"More of your conversation would infect my brain."
Coriolanus, Act II, Scene 1, Line 93.
Friday night wine-buzz. Any night owls still up?
Buzzing on a very nice Zinfandel. I rarely drink this variety. It has a rather pedestrian reputation. But this one is terrific; spicy, bold, got a nice kick. I'm liking it...
I think my support for Hillary has cost me some friends in the Lounge.
Hardly anyone replies to my posts anymore...
To Hell with it. I'm voting for Hillary anyway...
I just scheduled my Physician Assistant Recertification Exam.
June 30th.
Time for the nail-biting to begin.
And the studying. Can't forget the studying...
Friday Night Beer-Buzz. All out of wine tonight. Need some Lounge vibes...
Got a death notice today from the family member of a patient. Just date of death, no cause yet.
Also (Jesus, also!...) diagnosed a patient today with Stage IV chronic kidney disease. We're getting her right in to treatment with a nephrologist. I had my staff burning up the phone lines to get her an opening. I held her hand for a while as she cried; told her she is going to be taken care of. She was smiling by the time she left.
I'm futzed that I don't have enough booze on hand to get really good and smashed...
Thank you for being here.
I love you all...
Having some Greek food and plotting a weekend mic drop with Will Shakespeare.
It's good to have him back. The Bard has been getting rusticated out in Stratford. He needs some modern society.
How's everybody doing tonight?
Friday Night Wine-Buzz. Too late for any real interaction tonight.
Any night-owls still up?
Remember, Remember, 2000, November.
Vote.
Get out and vote.
Nothing is certain.
Nothing is guaranteed.
The people who want Trump to be President will do anything to ensure that it happens. They will riot. They will scream. They will threaten.
But they won't have to do anything of those things if you just stay home.
If your favored candidate didn't get the nod, and you don't want to vote for the lesser of two evils, vote the the lesser of two goods; the candidate who was chosen over your favorite.
If you think 'I survived Bush; I can survive Trump', just remember: a lot of people didn't survive Bush. Not on 9/11, not in the US Armed Forces, not in Iraq, not in Afghanistan, and not the economic crash of 2008. Stop thinking of yourself, and think of others.
Vote.
Remember, remember, 2000, November.
