Aristus
Aristus's JournalI just un-followed my sister-in-law's daugher on Facebook.
She posted a pic of bottle openers with President Obama's likeness on them, and captioned it: "Target practice, anyone?"
I convinced my Republican wife to vote for President Obama in 2012, but I guess the rest of her family is beyond help...

Most spend their mouths when what they seem to threaten
Runs far before them."
Henry V, Act II, Scene 4, Lines 69-71.
The hospital just sent me a death notice for one of my patients.
First one in a while.
I didn't know him very well. I only visited with him three times. He had a lot of issues, drug use foremost among them, and he was not-compliant with his treatment plan.
He was taken to the hospital two days ago with severe pneumonia. They tried to treat him, but he spiraled. He had a do not resuscitate order in place, so they made him comfortable, and he died yesterday.
He must have had a miserable life. He's not in pain anymore.

Which I respect not."

"Vaccines didn't do anything for me!"
"The purpose of disease is to control populations."
"I've been exposed to every disease known to man and never been sick a day in my life, so phthththththth!"
Dear God, could we please hire some 500-pound guy named Tiny to stand at the door of the Forums with a clipboard and a velvet rope, and bounce all the right-wing trolls when they show up?
Doing shots with Will Shakespeare. Ask us anything.
After another night of incessant rain, the Puyallup River is close to breaching.
I live on the Puyallup River floodplain, although a quarter mile or so from the river. I have flood insurance, but who the hell wants to have to use it?
STOP RAINING!...
