My answer to Comey's "What happened to these people?"

In 2006 the Republicans were at best in shambles. The war had not only been horribly miss run but it was clearly a lie. Katrina exposes them as careless and uncaring. They had fallen apart. THEN all their rhetoric and policies lead to the biggest financial and economic collapse in history.

They survived because the media needed them. No one will watch a one horse race. Slowly they climbed back. First with a split in their party orchestrated to divert attention from recent disastrous history. The lines were blurred as to who did what before the collapse.

Right now they know this is their last chance to avoid obliteration. If Trump goes down, if he’s charged or kicked out of office they will be in the wilderness for years. And they know it.

Answer: this is survival mode for them and the preservation of the two party system as we’ve known it, or at least their place in it. All hands on deck.

😳 Please Do Not Dump Trash On White Supremacist Leaders' Properties 😆

I looked into this, Truth or Fiction can't confirm this is authentic but it's still funny. Both of these scumbags were in Charlottesville in August 2017 and Evan Anderson organized a rally in Charlottesville in May of that year which set the stage for the later disaster.

Like I said. Funny. Enjoy.

*BREAKING* LONDON MARATHON REDUCED 200,000 PLASTIC BOTTLES WITH EDIBLE WATER PODS

Got your attention?

The London Marathon took a firm stance against plastic waste yesterday, replacing 200,000 water bottles with innovative water “pods” made from edible, biodegradable seaweed.

The water pouches are made by Skipping Rocks Lab, a London startup that’s developing alternatives to consumer products typically delivered in plastic.

“The changes and the trials we’re introducing for this year have the potential to change how mass participation events are delivered in future,” Hugh Brasher, the marathon director, told CNN.

Tens of thousands of runners were offered water in the Ooho! pods during the race. They can be bitten to release the water inside the seaweed membrane. The outer cover can also be ingested. But if not eaten, they biodegrade in a matter of mere weeks as compared with plastic bottles that take hundreds of years to decompose.

Japanese Emperor Akihito Abdicates Throne; New Crown Prince To Ascend

Source: NPR

For the first time in more than 200 years, a Japanese emperor has abdicated the Chrysanthemum Throne.

"Since ascending the throne 30 years ago, I have performed my duties as the emperor with a deep sense of trust in and respect for the people, and I consider myself most fortunate to have been able to do so," Emperor Akihito said in a ceremony Tuesday evening at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo, according to Japan Times.

"I sincerely thank the people who accepted and supported me in my role as the symbol of the state," the 85-year-old leader said, closing with a prayer for "peace and happiness for all the people in Japan and around the world."

Akihito, who served for 31 years, was the first emperor to serve in the purely symbolic role set forth by Japan's post-World War II constitution, drafted by the United States. He was also the first emperor to marry a commoner, who became Empress Michiko.

Protesting a monument?? California man pleads guilty to riot conspiracy in 'Unite the Right' rally

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WHSV/AP) — One of four California men accused of violently attacking counterprotesters at the deadly "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to riot.

An image released by the FBI showing members of the Rise Above Movement attending the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville on Aug. 12, 2017, including Benjamin Daley, Michael Miselis, Thomas Gillen and Cole White.

Thomas Walter Gillen, 25, a member of the Rise Above Movement, a white supremacist group, entered the guilty plea on Monday in U.S. District Court, where he admitted traveling to rallies in California and Virginia with the purpose of committing acts of violence.

Miselis and Daley, who prosecutors say both traveled to Europe after the Charlottesville rally to meet with neo-Nazi and fascist groups and attended a festival in Germany celebrating Adolf Hitler's birthday, are being held without bond.

Local talk radio(Richmond Va) is losing their minds about UVA not going to the White House

WRVA 1140 AM. They have an FM station simulcast now too.

Flipping around this morning going to work the morning host mentioned it three times. He even pulled the sports update guy into it.
"I just don't get it"
"Does EVERYTHING have to be politicized now?"
"how about respect for the office?"

So I'm laughing at them holding onto this over the weekend.

When I first got in the car on the way home I heard that a Nazi scumbag in Charlottesville pleaded guilty to riot charges. Admitting that he wasn't there to protest but to insight violence.

Switch back over to the local drive time guy who devoted THE 5PM spot to it. This guy is Jewish (which comes into play later). He was beside himself. "Is it about his policies?" "What's he done to deserve this?" "if the White House calls you go". Then this - "Conservatives just have more class"
Callers call in to echo what they've heard probably all day.

"Okay at 5:30 we'll talk to retired FBI Special Agent ______ about the horrible shooting at Poway synagogue in San Diego and try to get some answers as to why this happened again"

A basketball team from CHARLOTTESVILLE respectfully declined. Trump met with the Baylor women's basketball team today but not the NATIONAL TEACHER OF THE YEAR from Richmond.

I didn't call in. No use. They are so purposely disconnected from reality.

Hit the driving range today. Boy technology sure has come a long way.

I was at a sports park (range, softball/baseball cages/mini golf) that has automatic serving tees. Dump the bucket basically into the tee box and they come up one at a time. There are 4 settings for the height of the tee - big button you can push with your club. You can also knock it off the tee to hit irons. The mat knows when you've hit and brings up another ball. You can really get into a groove.

So the ball collector guy was out and wouldn't get out of the areas I wanted to hit. I didn't want to fire at him so I had to keep changing clubs and targets. Did reasonably well considering first time out this year.

Okay here's the funny part. Apparently there are now robot ball recovery things. Compare to the innovations from the early years.
