Raven
Raven's JournalI think more people would support impeachment IF
Congress proposed serious legislation at the same time dealing infrastructure, health, wages, education, immigration and other issues that people really care about. The people I talk to who are not liberals by any stretch of the imagination, acknowledge that Trump is a crook and has committed crimes against this country but they are worried about their own futures and the futures of their children. All they see and read about in the news is Trump, Trump, Trump. I think there would be a major change in attitude if Democrats in Congress began proposing legislation that directly affects their lives. I also think that Trump would not know how to handle that.
Pelosi and others keep talking about the fact that they can walk and chew gum at the same time. Let's see some of that. Let's knock Trump off the front page and get people engaged in things that will touch their lives.
I know some will say that taking this approach is hopeless because Trump and the Republicans won't go along but I think that's exactly the point. Show them up, don't just talk about it, do it!
Why did Trump reply honestly to the reporter's question
about whether he told Putin to back off meddling with US elections?
He said that the subject didn't come up. He could have lied....lying is second nature to him, like breathing. He told the truth and all the flags went down on the field for me.
Does anybody have any ideas as to why he did that?
Who wins the normalization prize today?
The republicans, the press, Sarah Sanders, the rest of us?
It's perfectly alright for our President to discuss matters of our national security with our greatest foreign adversary. Isn't it?
Why doesn't Trump just put Putin in the Cabinet?
They talked about the Mueller Report....let that sink in.
Why Barr did what he did:
1) He was instructed to do it;
2) He was confident that he would have "cover" for his lies;
3) He knows that there are no standards of behavior anymore and that the American people are so beaten down that there will be no consequences.
He betrayed a close friend and violated the oath he took when he became a lawyer and a public servant. He spit on the legacies of Elliot Richardson and Archibald Cox.
He didn't do all of this in the heat of the moment. He planned for it. He telegraphed it in his 19 page "job application."
He did all of this for Donald Trump and it will haunt him for the rest of his life and be the headline on his obituary notice.
Sad, very, very, very sad.
If Impeachment is so bad for Democrats, why
isn't Trump trying to goad them into doing it? Why is he fighting so hard against it? If he's so against it, I think we should definitely do it.
"REDACT TRUMP" good idea for a bumper sticker?
I have an overwhelming feeling that all the good things in this world
are falling away.
Trump's targeting of Ilhan Omar is the closest thing to him shooting someone on 5th Avenue. He's
put a bounty on her head. Where are our leaders on this? Nowhere, as far as I can see.
Is that all they have on Joe Biden?
What about all the babies that have been kissed without permission by all these pols for all these years?
Physical insults: Donald, as long as we're talking about other peoples' physical appearance,
you might want to know that you are one of the fattest, sloppiest presidents in American history. Your obesity is rivaled only by William Howard Taft. And, as far as necks are concerned, at least Adam Shiff has one.
